Yes--Burke could have caused the blunt force trauma to JonBenet. But, since her cause of death was asphixiation combined with blunt force trauma, I can't rectify in my mind how Burke would have strangled her in the fashion that she was. And if the strangulation marks on her neck had occured postmortem, as a way for the parents to 'cover up' for the Burke-caused blunt force trauma, the coroner would have been able to determine that during the autopsy.

I believe there is other, indirect, evidence that Burke was not involved, but the above is my strongest reason.
I'm not saying BDI, I just think posters should have been given the choice in the poll.

Perhaps I should have included Burke in the poll, but I figured (perhaps incorrectly) that there were not many BDIs. I cannot edit the poll (already tried). I included in my opinion the two (three) most likely perps: Ramsey parents or intruder.

I'm glad someone started the poll; it will help me figure out how many portions of crow I should cook up for you guys.

Of course that is only if JMK is the guy.

If JMK isn't the guy, I'll keep it in the freezer awaiting the next suspect.

I think the anonymity of the poll might prevent that serving of crow from being delivered to anyone. Which was exactly my intent--to allow people to give their anonymous opinion without fearing that the possibility of future revelations would be used against them.

EDIT: Not that anyone on this forum would hold anyone's opinions against them. The poll format just frees up people to answer honestly.

My reasoning behind taking this poll was to see whether WS truly consists primarily of those who believe the Ramseys are guilty. From my readings over the past several days, it appears (on the surface) that it is. But I thought the best way to get a true reading of the forum was to take an anonymous poll.
I do not think Patsy or John did the actual murder - but, I do believe one or both know [knew] exactly what happened, or at the very least had a good idea of who did it, and covered it up, whether it was because Burke had something to do with it [I don't think so, IMO], or because they wanted to keep some dirty little secrets private; we may never know.

As far as this Karr guy goes...I remain skeptical, could he have done it?, sure, the possibility exists, but until he is placed in Boulder on 12/25/96, I doubt he is the murderer.

Hi Close
Yeah I used to alternate between BDI and PDI.
I believe both parents would definitely cover for their son, but I also believe both parents would cover for each other.
They had too much to lose, well....in their minds they did.

good point...if JR did it, i guess i can see Patsy maybe covering for him..JR was her 'bread & butter'....not to mention, what would the neighbors think?

in alot of cases where a child dies, the parents cant seem to get past it and divorce. i know my folks barely made it through my brothers death, but they pushed through. to me, i think that if they killed JBR, they would have had to stick together to make certain the other wouldnt stray from the truth of it. if an intruder did it, it seems more likely they would have split. and really my minds not quite made up on who i think did it.

I'm so sorry about your brother.

That is exactly what happened in the Chamberlain case, made famous by Streep.
They weren't guilty, were found not guilty (eventually) and they split.

The R's stayed together in their self induced hell because they had to.

Hahahaha, thank god I will never have to eat crow, even if it does taste like

chicken!

I turn my nose up at kangaroo, let alone crow :p

I do not believe that if Jon and Patsy poo did kill Jon Benet they would have split up at all. This lie would have jointed there union even further .Each to scared in case the other 'talked'. Animosity is one thing that would have caught them out for sure. They were Stuck with each other. On the other hand one could also say that there marriage must have been under a lot of strain whether they did it or not.i do not know who killed JBR but think that one or both of the Ramsays knew more information than was conveyed by them.Whether this was intentional or unintentional we will probably never know. sorry to be such a fence sitter !

I can make it taste however you prefer it.

What's wrong with kangaroo meat. Maybe you just need to change their diet a little.

Intruder. Not only in consideration of "facts" but also in their interviews. PR and JR have always struck me as 100% honest through their facial expressions, their intonations, their body language ... when I see their faces in the old interviews, I just can't see deceit. To this day, I get choked up watching certain interviews in which they seemed so genuine.

Can we erase this poll and start a new one? One that includes BR for those who are BDI supporters and another choice.... 'splinters in the buuttt ox' choice for those of us still sitting on the fence. Can we?, huh?, Can we?

"until he is placed in Boulder on 12/25/96, I doubt he is the murderer."

That's where I am on this. At the time JMK had a 4 year old son, how the hell is whereabouts not known on Christmas day?

Does anyone know the ages of his other children? Were they alive before 12/25/1996?

"when I see their faces in the old interviews, I just can't see deceit."

I can from PR. especially when they had the press conference and says she did not kill Jonbenet. If you notice she closes her eyes at some interesting moments.

I was thinking I heard they had 2 children that Christmas but I'm not sure?
