Lynette Jackson, 56, went missing from her home in the 300 block of Coventry Drive. Jackson, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2009, was last seen on Saturday by a friend who helped her with grocery shopping.
Jackson is a white female, 4 feet 11 inches tall, 110 pounds, with short curly brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue plaid pea coat with hood.
She is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.
Her sister, Laura Irvin, has concerns about the timeline of when exactly Lynette disappeared. Irvin is the primary caregiver for her mother who also has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's, and her father who is recovering from major surgery. With all of that going on, she said the help of her sister's friend of 14 years is indispensable. That friend volunteered to take Jackson to church on Sunday and make sure she took her medicine. The friend didn't show up on Sunday, however, and didn't call her, Irvin said. Monday was Jackson's birthday. Irvin said she prepared a gift bag that included a card and her sister's favorite white chocolates, some other items and money for the friend to take Jackson to Olive Garden. That excursion also never took place, Irvin said.
The friend didn't find Jackson at home, was concerned, and went out searching for her for a couple of hours. Then, instead of calling Irvin, Jackson's friend, feeling unwell, apparently went home and lay down for a couple of hours.
Irvin didn't learn all this until 6 p.m. Monday when the friend called her and said, "'We have a problem, Lynette's missing, I haven't been able to find her all day,"' Irvin said.
