Mother of Goshen toddler killed Monday arrested

From what I understand this "mother" told police her baby ran into the run and was hit by a car. Seems like this was a bs story, she has been arrested for the murder of her 18 month old.

According to this article, the family has some idea about what happened.

She lied to everybody to cover up for her boyfriend," Aguilar [Mariah's grandmother] said, a boyfriend family members say Turner-Berger knew for a week.Mariah's father, Jerry Looney, and Turner-Berger have three children, including Mariah.
"What am I supposed to believe?" Looney asked. “She had a fractured skull, broken arm, broken collar bone."
"There was no marks whatsoever on her body,” Aguilar said.

A Goshen woman who authorities say lied about how her 19-month-old daughter died has pleaded guilty to neglect of a dependent and obstruction of justice.

The Goshen News reports that 22-year-old Mande Turner-Burger entered a plea agreement that calls for her to receive a five-year prison sentence and 10 years of probation.

Daniel Pennington was sentenced to 23 years in prison Thursday...

In April, Pennington pleaded guilty to a Class B felony charge of neglect of a dependent and a Class D felony charge of obstruction of justice.

Two years ago, 19-month-old Mariah Gibson was the backseat passenger in a Jeep Cherokee SUV driven by Pennington. The girl’s mother, Mande Turner-Berger, was the front seat passenger... Gibson wasn’t in a proper child restraint. The girl fell from the SUV as Pennington was making a turn.
