IMO, the way LE worded that they didn't need any more info/tips on that possible suspect or car--tells me they don't believe that story. (or at the very least, had no evidence to verify it)

Neither do I.

Even IF that story is true, how do we know that the ex bf didn't see her soon after getting a ride with some "dude"?

I'll leave it there, since I like it here and don't want to get a spanking.

I live about 20 minutes from Bloomfield. This whole situation is just weird. Too many unanswered questions...did she have her own car, how did she get to work and home each day? Is she the type of person who would get in a car with a complete stranger...
Why was her facebook page deleted before she went missing? Why has there been almost no coverage of her missing on the local news stations????
