The Vigo County Search and Rescue Team joined the Indiana State Police and the Greene County Prosecutor's Office in conducting their third recent search for 18-year-old Marina Boelter.

Volunteers from Kentucky and Wisconsin, along with K-9 teams, joined in the search for Boelter, who was last seen on Dec. 31 outside the Bloomfield IGA as she left work. She reportedly got into a car with an unknown man, and has not been seen since.

Indiana State Police in Bloomington report that several areas were searched near Bloomfield, including woods, fields and wells. Searches were conducted by K-9s and drones.

Two different bodies were found in two different parts of the White River. The 45 year old man was found near the VA Hospital in Indianapolis, Marion County. The other one was found near Williams, in Lawrence County, about 30 miles south of Bloomington.

I agree with Natalie, Im only up to page 4 so maybe should wait til i get to the end of the thread to comment, but the ex boyfriends story is raising alarms for me. especially saying she didnt have to get in that car with that "dude" just seems like a weird thing to say. And also the fact he just happened to be sitting there in his car able to make out what the guy looked like and then she disappears. something isnt right.

Well that escalated quickly, how random about the ex being killed and then the weirdo who was saying he was a cop. I dont even know what to think!
I still think the ex had something to do with her disappearance. God knows what the rest of it was about.

Idk....I got the impression that he did still really care about her, it just didn't work out. Maybe they weren't together by her choice. I think it was either the guy who killed the ex, or someone from her past she was trying to escape from.

I wonder why the dead ex-boyfriend gave police a fake story about the old guy and the car in which she supposedly jumped into after work.

Was that proven to be fake?

Was that proven to be fake?

LE announced that all leads have been exhausted with regard to the car and man DJ described and that they are no longer searching for either. Based on that, I don't think we can then make the leap to DJ having given the police a fake story. We just don't know.

Maybe some locals have a better handle on what actually happened when Marina disappeared, why that guy impersonated a police officer and why, fatefully, DJ went to the other man's house. Maybe LE has a better handle on what the events were, too.

If DJ was involved in Marina's disappearance and LE found the supporting evidence, would LE ever announce their findings or would DJ's lack of being able to defend himself (because he's deceased) preclude that? Just wondering.

1 year ago today. :(

Wednesday morning Tressie Palmer, and a couple of supporters, arrived at the IGA parking lot where Boelter was last seen. To help keep her daughter’s story alive, Palmer announced she would be attempting to walk from Bloomfield to Terre Haute, collecting donations on the way.

Palmer said while she could never metaphorically walk in her daughter's shoes because she has no idea what she is going through, she opted to make the trek in Boelter's sneakers.

Proceeds collected will go toward funding a billboard for Marina Boelter featuring her information. Palmer hopes the community will continue to remember her and help find her.

So very sad and tragic that this young mom has not been found. I'm still surprised about the bf being killed. I hope they find her. The family needs to mourn.
