Why do these hospitals keep loosing patients with TBI? All the hospitals here have guards. Why aren't the guards questioning people walking away with only a hospital gown, no shoes?

Especially when all personnel were notified this would occur if he wasn't watched.

"She said the hospital put him in a bed with a mesh enclosure around it and a zipper only on the outside, to prevent him from leaving. Instead, that's just what Bridgford and police say happened.

"I was worried about this exact scenario," Bridgford said, explaining that she had told doctors her concerns and was assured Nick would be safe. "

I think hospitals are really overwhelmed right now and the nursing staff probably focused on covid patients, unless this hospital has a specific psychiatric ward or floor? If so, how did he get through the keygate?

Missing reports have not been updated: IMPD ; IMPD Twitter ; Facebook/Mother

Nicholas R Hisle born 10/20/1989 originally went missing in July of 2020.

His whereabouts were unknown until his Mother received a call from the Hospital "saying Nick was there and had been hit by a car."

His last known location was the Methodist Hospital 1701 Senate Blvd. Indianapolis, Indiana. Nicholas made statements that he wanted to leave the Hospital and appears to have left at will. The time he was last seen at the Hospital is unknown, however his Mother has stated she received a call from the Hospital that his whereabouts were unknown at approx 9:30 that Sunday morning, 11/29/20.

Nicholas lives with Schizophrenia, diagnosed approx. 2 years ago. He endured a brain injury on Nov 7 2020. He left wearing a hospital gown, barefoot. Daytime temperature was recorded at 12 F with - 2 F overnight.

There are 5 identified exits; along with the main exit onto Senate Blvd., there are exits onto 16th Street and Capital.Brookside Park area and the City's east side are familiar to Nicholas and his Mother has stated he may be frightened and, hiding.

With that many exits from the hospital, I doubt they have security at each outgoing door.

I lived next to a hospital with just 2 exits and the guards would get busy trying to help someone who needed a wheelchair or whatnot and patients escaped all the time (often elderly patients). They'd wander down the street or up our street, and we'd call the non-emergency police number and they'd usually be found right away.

They were deliberately running away, although not usually very swift.

With 5 exits, Nicholas had a good chance of getting out onto the sidewalk, IMO. He could not be hiding all this time, though. If he had some street smarts, he'd have known where to go to get free clothing/help without contacting anyone official.

Just trying to stay hopeful.

WOW!! Great news! :D There's nothing in the MSM report to indicate whether Nicholas was found safe. However, he has updated his FB page a few times this year. It appears his mom liked a couple pics. The perfect ending. :) Best of luck to you, Nicholas!
