aw - so stinkin cute. Hope this little one is found quickly.

Officers believe the mother has fled with the baby to Louisville. She is believed to be driving a 2001 Mercedes-Benz model C300 with Indiana plate number WJY311.

[..]

Police say an Amber Alert has not been issued, because the case doesn’t meet the criteria.

BBM not sure why? They know the abductor (non custodial mother). Child has health concern and they know the make and model and plate # of the vehicle?

The child was taken by the mother on February 8, as he is a ward of the state. The mother has an open warrant for child neglect.

The child is believed to be in danger after recently suffering a skull fracture. http://wishtv.com/2017/02/11/police-seeking-whereabouts-of-missing-5-month-old/

Anyone with information is urged to call the IMPD Missing Persons Unit at (317)327-6160 or Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at (317)262-TIPS(8477). http://cbs4indy.com/2017/02/11/impd-searching-for-missing-5-month-old-in-non-custodial-abduction/

Oh no. I hope his fracture has healed by now in case it's a rough ride.

I cannot believe this doesn't qualify for an AA. They should have sent out an alert the first day it sounds like. Instead, it's 4 days later and it's only a couple hour drive from Indy to Louisville. Are they hiding out in Louisville? Are they still on the road?

Poor baby.

This really doesn't make sense. You don't issue an Amber Alert because you know they are out of your Jurisdiction? C'mon Indy get it together!

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — IMPD investigators are asking a non-custodial mother, who they believe abducted her 5-month-old son, to turn herself in.

[...]

The affidavit says an investigation into the incident revealed that Williams had actually dropped her son, because she was too drunk to hold onto him. The affidavit states that the 5-month-old was not taken to the hospital until three days later.
