The home where Scott Schuck was living was released to his family Thursday night and there is now caution tape around the home with no trespassing signs in nearly every window. A man tended to the backyard garden Friday afternoon...

The police chief says they found what appear to be human remains and a purse with Rebecca Cassidy’s ID in it, and Schuck has been charged with murder with a bond send at $10 million...

Schuck’s next court appearance is scheduled for September 24, 2014.

Rebecca's listing on Shelbyville PD, Charley Project and now NamUs (19007) have all been removed but I can't find a link so mods can update the title to Found and Trials yet.

Scott Wayne Schuck avoided a murder conviction Tueday, and instead pleaded guilty to aiding in voluntary manslaughter and being a habitual offender.

His defense attorneys told jurors that it was Schuck’s mother, Wilma Schuck, who struck and killed Rebecca Cassidy with a frying pan in 2010 during an argument and that Scott Schuck was covering for his mother. They also claim Scott Schuck failed to render aid and later helped bury Cassidy’s body... Part of the plea that was it very important to him that his mother not be prosecuted in this case...

Scott Schuck will likely receive a sentence of 30 years in prison, but his attorneys hope that will be reduced.

I'm currently working on the concept of a story on the Rebecca Cassidy case. I wondered if anyone here knew her, or know somebody who was close to Rebecca that may be willing to interview with me. Other persons who are related to the case would also be welcome to respond as well.

My best method of contact would probably be email. You can contact me at [email protected]

Murder Sheet just put out a new podcast on this case. Andrew Baldwin was the defense attorney in case; he is also Richard Allen's atty in the Delphi murders. I just glanced through Schuck's case and it appears to be ongoing.
