Bam can you suggest a local reporter we can contact?

One with a propensity for sleuthing and who would not be intimidated by Local LE?

If you're looking for crime reporters I'd contact Russ McQuaid at the FOX59 Affiliate. His email is [email protected]

He is one of the crime reporters and investigative journalists.

Another good one is Kim Kim ([email protected]) but I believe she's leaving the station in a week ... but she was instrumental in solving the Jill Behrman case.

Bumping again!

I find this quite upsetting, that no one is really doing anything for Rebecca :(

Police Renew Call For Info In Cold Case

Police have renewed a call for information in a cold case disappearance of a woman last year.

Rebecca Cassidy was reported missing in April 2010 after her mother was unable to contact her for several days.

"Foul play is suspected by (the) Shelbyville Police Department because … Cassidy has made no attempt to contact her family, friends or loved ones," said Steve Dubois, of Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana.

Dang it. :( I guess that's the only part of the article that's visible without a subscription.

Shelbyville, Ind.—

Rebecca Cassidy's neighbors on 4th Street in Shelbyville say they were used to seeing her walking outside nearly every day because her daily routine did not include a car of her own. That routine came to an end two and a half weeks ago.

Even when Rebecca Cassidy left home or got a ride with someone, Carolyn Pike says she never seemed to be gone for long periods of time.

"It's awful. It's really awful," Carolyn Pike said. "It kind of gets to me because she's a good kid."

She was last seen on April 10th outside her home. On April 15th her family reported her missing after realizing she also hadn't been reporting to work at her new job at the Crystal Flash Truck Stop.

FWIW, 33 minute walk to Crystal Flash from her house: http://goo.gl/maps/wByiE

ETA: Rebecca Cassidy was last seen in the 1200 block of Elm Street in Shelbyville on April 10, 2010. She did not report for work on April 12, 2010. - Found in the press release - here

Interesting TB. Someone offer her a ride, or maybe grabbed her.

What time did she leave and come home for work?

Knox, my bad! I apologize.

I realize now she was last seen the 12th...so I had actually deleted my post but added it back in under my prior once i saw you had replied to it...

You're too quick!

So this latest info - seen on the 12th 1200 block of elm - she was only a few blocks from home i suppose it makes sense she was last seen walking away from home but gosh how are we to know for sure for sure!

i wish i wish i wish we knew the direction she was going - was she walking?? and time would also be a bonus!

No worries.

Time last seen is a pretty basic fact in a missing case. Knowing what time she walked to and from work, if put on a flyer, may have jogged someone's memory. This case makes me sad, her poor family
