I'd like to know who this "source close to the investigation" is. Someone from LE? Did they re-interview RK and get this new information? It's annoying how new information trickles out each day. Why can't we get the whole story the first time around? Don't get me wrong, I'm an RK supporter, but why didn't he say this on GMA the other morning? I'd like to hear this out of the horse's mouth.. not some unnamed source.

There is a recording of Kronk's conversation with his supervisor. In that recording, Kronk says he is at Hopespring. The supervisor says he lives there. Then the conversation proceeds.

Ahhhh...I don't suppose you'd have a link? I'd like to hear the whole thing :)

Why would someone needing to pee, automatically think that a bag embedded in the ground was suspicious? He had to have known about the case, to even assume that.

Urination is only mentioned by Kronk in the context of Dec. 11. He doesn't say that that was the reason he entered the woods on Aug 11.

Concentric, of course Kronk knew about the case, you'd have to be living under a rock if you live in Florida and haven't heard about this case. It doesn't matter if he did hear about it or was following it closely on the news, it doesn't impeach him as a witness.

Living snakes do not coil their bodies in that position.

To that, I say horsepucky.

Did anyone else notice on NG two nights ago.. in one of her bumps into commercial break... she played a segment of a 911 call where RK (it sure sounded like him) said "I need you guys now. I just found a human skull". This was not in the three 911 calls we've all heard over and over again!

As reported therein, there are more inconsistencies for the defense.

Why did he not tell the tipline that the bag was underwater? Don't forget, he called in on the 11th and 12th of August before he met with the officer on the 13th.

He only reported seeing a dead snake. How did he determine it was a "snake infested" area.

What was he doing searching an, admitedly, snake infested area? Why was that a good risk? What would the reward have been for doing so?
Moreover, he said he had a one hour break which makes it sound as though he was taking the break relaxing in a snake infested swamp area.

He didn't say he knew about the case initially, only that he went into the woods to relieve himself.

This is one of my questions about Kronk:

Did he or did he not know about "the case" before finding the remains?

Yes, he did as mostly everyone did in Orlando at the time.

He does not hide the fact that he knew about the case:confused:

All he has said is he did not no the A's or Casey personally.

What is it you are trying to get at?

:)

Exactly, it's so zen.

I tend to agree with this also, but it is an unpopular opinion. It would mean that Kronk is engaged in some heavy lying.

It doesn't make sense that RK had ill intentions. There is little to no evidence of him being involved.

I was curious about this also, if I recall he said something like "I need someone here now I just found a human skull!" - whereas before what we heard over and over was his manager calling and subsequently putting him on the line to give details. Good catch! Does that mean there was an entirely separate call that we've as yet been unaware of? Anyone else have any ideas?

I still don't see what difference it makes if he knew about the case. If I was living in that area, I'd keep my eyes peeled too, wouldn't you?

GMAB and knock off the bickering about who said what first. Cripes.. there are 2441 threads in here and 415,430 posts ; we have the same evidence to ponder.
Wudge steals my ideas all day long, but I don't mind. LOL.

ETA:Wudge just happens to post them before I get a chance to.

There is certainly spirited debate and controversy on this thread.

I keep seeing the strawman argument that those who question Kronk must think he was involved in Caylee's death. Maybe you aren't implying that now.

The suspicions I have about Kronk is that he is witholding information. That he actually did see the skull on Aug 11, and knew it. That he may have been tipped by others, and isn't being honest about that. That he may have told others, and isn't being honest about that. That most of his possible dishonesties are closely related to him not wanting to be involved as the limelight discoverer and dragged into the media, the investigation, and the trial.

I was thinking that recording was from RK's initial call to the utility dept's dispatch.Dispatch employee then called LE. Could be wrong, but that's the way I understand it.

Ahh, good call. That makes perfect sense. Thanks!
