From live fox59 facebook reporter:
Dad and dad's brother were taken to Indianapolis today for lie detector tests.
According to dad's mom, she has not heard from him yet.
Neighbors say they heard an argument at the house around 3am.

I am not going to judge the family at this point on their reactions during interviews, but... I definitely did not see any panic or urgent desire to go looking for the child from any of them. Whether that is just their normal behavior or indicative of what they know, hard to say. Either way, I am highly doubtful that this child wandered away on her own.

From police statement:
Witnesses are being re-interviewed today. Other pois are being interviewed.
Technology is being examined.
SAR are working. Weather slowing them down.
ATVs and sonar are being used.
FBI is now involved.
Search canines are being used.
National Center for Missing and Exploited Children have been on the scene since this morning.
Gave a map of areas being searched.
Not leaving any stone unturned - searching dumpsters and manhole covers.
Cadaver dogs are being used. With "air sniff"?
Media needs to keep safe distance from SAR.
Have been contacted by people who want to coordinate a reward - being looked at.
Any questions.

"Ballpark" number of persons of interest - 7 to 10 people. Not suspects, just poi's for now.

Kinda sounds like a ... party.

Oh no. Oh, poor baby girl.

Has a girlfriend or ex-girlfriend of his been mentioned anywhere? Was she the one that dropped off the newspapers?

Yes, the grandmother said in her phone interview that 'Kelly' came in about 2 am to spend the night with her son, and left about 7am. How did Kelly not notice the baby missing?

Questions:
Q: Who are poi. A:can't say right now.
Q: Do you believe Shaylyn is still alive. A: It's speculation. She's been missing for over 24 hrs. It's not looking good now.
Q: What caused overnight search to stop? A: feed cut out - winds messed with copter
Q: Why no Amber Alert? A: AA criteria does not meet this case. Must have vehicle or suspect description. "We have no idea who took this baby..how this baby got out of the house"
Q: How many poi? A: ballpark 7-10 people they want to talk to - not necessarily suspects
Q: Were there people at home that night - party? A: Perspective on what you think a party is. There were definitely people in the house overnight throughout those wee hours of the morning.
Q: Pois being cooperative? A: Yes
Q: Has anyone been ruled out? A: No
Q: Q about unlocked door? A: no evidence that happened. not a lot of evidence that's left if people going in/out of door (paraphrasing here) to substantiate that claim.
Q: polygraph? A: Several 2-3 today - not sure if completed yet. Possibility of more to come.
Q: mom doesn't think baby is in area anymore? A: if mom has reason to believe that, we're all ears. We've been talking with her today. We're confident mom doesn't know where baby is.

You beat me to it! A group of 7-10 people, all gathered at one house, alcohol is mentioned, as well as music... there's a word for that sort of thing...

Oh, yeah, a PARTY.

That phone interview with the father and grandmother is bizarre  Grandmother says she got up and noticed Shaylyn missing at 8:00AM but father didn't find out until he got up at 8:30AM. :waitasec: Grandmother didn't immediately wake Dad up and tell him that his little girl was missing? Something fishy with this story. :moo:

And dad was awake after 5am that day because he posted on facebook.

Why is all this chaos going on with a baby sleeping in the middle of the doggone living room?

Not to victim-blame ... and I know that sounds like what I'm doing ... I just don't understand.

Sadly, you are probably not victim blaming.

I'd like to know what room the "un-party" was in. The nursery?

They all seem to keep 'unusual hours'.

I'd like dad to sound a little more alert when his DAUGHTER IS MISSING! That interview was eerie!

The day before, I believe (at 5:19 AM on March 22nd).

There were a few other posts on there from the night of the 22nd and morning of the 23rd that are gone now.
