I'm not sure if I am more curious about what the reason for the warrant is or what will come of out it! :scared:
Yeah it's an odd thing to want to warrant IMO. Must be something that they are particularly looking for. Will be interesting to see what becomes of this.

Probable cause on some kind of legitimate suspicion = search warrants. I don't think any of us who followed this from the start are the least bit surprised. I think we were all more surprised there was only one arrest.

Sounds like more arrests may be coming....

According to this video from the Indy Channel, LE is looking for "subscriber records, messages, photos, videos and location information." A law professor (not connected to the case) said, in part, "The bottom line is they don't think they know everything about what went down, and so they're going to try and use this information to get a fuller picture of what went down."

The reporter spoke with the grandmother, who said she was unaware of the filing but she has nothing to hide and the family has nothing to hide.

JMO I think LE is using the FB search more or less as another investigative tool. IOW standard procedure. Hopefully we'll learn more in the next few days.

I'm not sure if this has been linked yet, but found the mention of Daniel and the time he fixed the satellite along with the time Kyle is said to have left the Ammerman house in the same article to be 'new' information, & also conflicting (not that conflicting info is anything new in this case) IMO.
Family members told The Herald-Times that on Tuesday night, the child’s uncle, grandfather and Parker drank whiskey and watched television. Parker left the house at about 2 a.m. Wednesday, said Adam Ammerman, the child’s uncle. Grandfather Daniel Morgan said he fixed the satellite television at about that time, checked on the baby and saw her in her crib.

That conflicting info came out fairly early in this wretched case. More than anything I suspect what went on is a whole lotta CYA because there was drinking going on and this baby girl disappeared right out from under their noses. So, some of them lied about the timeline that night. However, with LE getting search warrants for multiple social media accounts, really makes me wonder what the heck ELSE was going on that night.

Courtroom hearing cancelled for today. However, mom and family was not notified and were unable to get in touch with the prosecutor. Gross way to treat a victimized family. http://m.heraldtimesonline.com/news...cle_8ae78fc2-d776-5a90-962f-1bdfd6c77518.html

Donna McIntyre, a Spencer woman who stepped in as an advocate for the family of 15-month-old Shaylyn Ammerman, arrived at the courthouse at 9 a.m. and as the 10:30 hearing time passed, she learned from an Evening World newspaper reporter that the hearing was off. Jessica Stewart, the baby's mother, inquired at the prosecutor's office. "They said it wasn't cancelled ... that they just didn't have it." She asked to speak to Owen County Prosecutor Don VanDerMoere, but he was not in.

Doesn't mention what the five new charges are. ?

In the new filing, aggravating circumstances are: killing the victim while attempting or committing child molesting, killing the victim while attempting or committing kidnapping, killing the victim while attempting or committing rape, killing a child younger than 12 years of age and killing while mutilating or torturing the victim.

VanDerMoere said Tuesday that if Parker is found guilty of murder, he will have to prove one or more of the aggravating circumstances outlined in Monday's filing for Parker to receive the life sentence.

So the new charges are:

Killing the victim while attempting or committing child molesting.
Killing the victim while attempting or committing kidnapping.
Killing the victim while attempting or committing rape.
Killing a child younger than 12 years of age.
Killing while mutilating or torturing the victim.

Ugh, I'd forgotten about the doctor who performed Shaylynn's autopsy commenting that it was the "worst case of sexual trauma" that she'd ever seen. And the doctor specialized in pediatric autopsies with sexual battery and molestation. That poor little baby. :tears:

I'm okay with LWOP since DP cases seem to drag on for years - like the Polly Klaas case. As long as the sick @@@@ will never walk in society again.

So, he needs to be found guilty of at least one of the five new charges to get a life sentence. I really don't think that will be hard to do. He'll be behind bars forever.

taking DP off the table actually pretty much ensures he will get LWOP. LWOP is easier to get. As long as his nasty self is locked away from the real world forever.
