Okay I have always wondered why they let this monster out of Kansas jail and allowed him to come here to kill. Sickens me to no end. Thank god he is behind bars for life!!

I'm from Rochester Indiana (Fulton County) where these other killings happened. This sick freak shouldn't have EVER been let out - he killed a 5 year old child!

They really need to just keep them in for life. Their is no rehabilitation. After 25 years in prison, he wouldn't even no how to function out in the world again. Just another to add to the revolving door policy of the prison system..

Mother of slain Royal Center teen is suing restaurant owners
November 17, 2009
by Kevin Lilly

A trial in the wrongful death suit filed last year by the mother of teenage murder victim Stephanie Wagner began this week. Jane Gonzalez, the mother of the Royal Center girl killed in 2006, is claiming that the managers/owners of the Indian Head Restaurant in Winamac were negligent because they allowed convicted murderer Danny Rouse to work alongside the 16-year-old. Attorneys for the plaintiff and defendants spent Monday selecting the six-person jury and began taking testimony Tuesday in Cass Circuit Court. Mike Fitousis, owner of the restaurant that has since closed, testified that all he knew is that Rouse had stabbed someone more than 20 years ago while strung out on drugs and alcohol. He never conducted a criminal background check and said he did not know that Rouse had killed a 5-year-old boy and attempted to kill the boy’s mother in 1979.

A convicted murderer from Kansas accused of the recent killing of an Indiana girl is being questioned in two northern Indiana murders committed in the mid-1970s.

Danny R. Rouse, 51, of Monterey, is being held in Cass County on charges that he murdered 16-year-old Stephanie Wagner of Royal Center on Oct. 31. Rouse worked in the same restaurant as did Wagner, whose body was found in a Cass County field. She had been strangled and stabbed.

Rouse, who was paroled from a Kansas prison in March, is now being questioned in connection with the October 1975 death in Fulton County of 26-year-old Lela Donnelly Hildebrandt, police said Wednesday.

Senter said police also are looking into Rouse's possible connection to another Fulton County homicide, the 1974 death of Nellie Mikesell. She was sitting in her home when a shot from a small-caliber rifle was fired through the living room window and struck her in the head.

She was found alive the next morning by an oil delivery man but later died in the hospital.

On 12/14/2007, Danny Rouse received another life sentence. I was unable to tell if it is with or without parole. but I'm sure it is LWOP because of the previous murder record.
