Pedophiles insert themselves into situations where they gain access to kids by seeming trustworthy. Coaches, scout leaders, teachers. I hope the investigation into Jared is due to his association with the other guy and not because he was an active participant, but I won't be surprised if he is. Nothing much surprises me anymore.

From personal experience. The Feds raided a "friend" of mine. They raided 3 of his businesses at the exact same time. They allowed him to walk out the front door, while they seized everything they needed to further their case. Mind you, they had been monitoring all 3 businesses and all Internet, mail, shipping for 3 months prior to the raid, so they knew EVERY single thing they were coming in to get prior to the raid. They had named associates, people scammed, all people involved in the crime. Then they sat back and continued to watch the activity of all parties after the raid to further their already rock solid case. The Feds do not raid or ask any questions they don't already have the answer to. The Postal Inspectors are the harshest of them all. IMO - they have been watching all of this since the original arrest, the previous months, and Jared is in BIG trouble. They are waiting, watching and listening and have been for months and months. They are all in big trouble. Now, the people who turn will get a lighter sentence to get the big wigs. There must be many little guys who have been talking to the Feds for a long time. IMO - this isn't ending well for Jared and Taylor.

Mess with kids? There is a special place for these types of people.

You could be right ..and I could be wrong. It could be (as you allege) that this FB post was made up by someone in management.

Given what is at stake here - the livelihoods of of 100,000's of Subway employee's worldwide I am happy to err on the side of the Subway employees who may be badly effected by this bad publicity.

Just to put this out there. I was wondering what led the Feds to raid his house. NG had the forensics computer expert on last night. He claimed they had to have found something on the former associates computer to link it to Jarod. Otherwise, they wouldn't have probable cause to get the warrant.

Taylor and Jared are wrongdoers. The FBI doesn't just pull into your driveway with a mobile electronics vehicle unless they are conducting some serious business. What I don't understand is why Jared was not arrested today.

I hope Subway can overcome the shame. Twitter is having a field day with the jokes. I couldn't read them for they made me feel ill.

We are not just talking about a couple of guys who got caught with . We don't know how many innocent victims have been harmed by their trashy habits. One article said children as young as 9yo were exposed to this criminal activity. Heart breaking to consider.

I have no sympathy for the perpetrators of the innocent children. My thoughts and prayers will focus on the well being of the young victims.

Actually, they do sometimes pull into a driveway with the expectation of finding something only to find nothing. While I detest pedophiles and anyone who preys on children, I don't think we should prematurely level accusations until we hear something concrete about his involvement. We don't know if the other man could have accessed his electronic equipment and put him in a bad situation. The lack of arrest yesterday is interesting because it normally goes hand in hand with the search in this type of case. However, it doesn't mean he couldn't be involved in some way. We just have to wait to see what the FBI does with their results. (Subway corp. could have overreacted. Or will we find out more there?)

Agreed -- though I have no sympathy for Subway; a billion dollar enterprise couldn't vet a connection to this "foundation" a bit more closely? Heads should roll and cash payouts for future lawsuits should be anticipated.

I agree with you. Subway paid Fogle because he did lose weight after eating their food for however long. That's all Subway claims he is . They don't attest to his character, only his weight. But I do wonder when did this foundation idea become hatched and who hatched it? Fogle on his own? Friends of his suggest it to him? It's all very curious and sadly if these kids who were in the foundation were already overweight ( speculative) and struggling then they were already vulnerable and imho prime targets for victimization. lease: let those children be ok. If I was a parent with a child ' helped' by this foundation, I would be raising a ton of he** today.

I am not a Subway fan. I am not a fan of corporations that make money off the backs of workers. That said, I am always distressed that low level employees take the hit when a much higher, up-the-chain employee/spokesperson does wrong. Jared will be okay financially if the allegations are not true. The corporation will quietly separate from Jared and will recover any embarrassments and losses.

The employees, who are frontline faces of the corporation, are often faced with fewer shifts, closing shops and having to deal with the public humiliation from comments from friends or patrons. They have little job security and often work in markets that are fragile for low skilled workers.

If I ate Subway, I would support the workers on principle.

I don't know. Fair or not, Jared's name/face recognition will likely forever be conflated now with Russell Taylor's, and the word 'child ' (which is unfortunate if Jared's completely innocent of any knowledge and wrongdoing).

I think people would be pulling out the pitchforks and picketing Subways country-wide if they hadn't severed their relationship with Jared pretty quickly when this story (raid at Jared's house with possible connection to child dude Russell Taylor) broke.

I don't think many, if any businesses, large or small, would take a 'wait and see' approach on keeping a possible child predator on the payroll. Wait and see is more the NFL's approach, IMO.

He was not printed or arrested which I think says a lot as to what this investigation is about. I don't think it is at all about him.

I have to read it again but I swear an article yesterday said just to secure him while they searched or to show him what they were taking.. I will look for article. It is basically a mobile lab where they can look at things asap.
