That's good to know because I've heard and read really awful things happen in prisons.

FTR I don't want anything bad to happen to Jared in prison. Expecting or hoping for some kind of prison justice enacted by convicts isn't something I'm on board with. I thanked the jokes here because sometimes my sense of humour resembles that of a 14yo boy's and "footlong" is funny. So are references to Ron Jeremy.

Can we also mention the huge physical risks that child brides/young victims of abuse face when carrying a child? If they were biologically ready to have a child from all these millions of years of evolution, why is the risk of death so high?

Also, in this day and age, we have the luxury of long lives and intellectual indulgences, and I'm sorry, I don't have much in common at the age of 29 with the 10/12/14/16 year old versions of myself. So what can a grown man have in common with a child that age upon which they could build an emotionally and mentally sound relationship?

Let's also mention brain development. Children's brains are still forming in the teen years. Hence why so many make impulsive decisions, and don't have the same emotional intelligence as someone much older. That alone makes them a child. ETA: this is also, IMO, why when children are abused during this time period that they often go on to abuse others.

I am sure prison rape is an issue in the state penitentiaries and, perhaps, at the maximum security federal level. But, not where this individual will likely be housed. Regardless, he will be separated from others given his notoriety.

As soon as I heard that they were allowing him to be free (ankle bracelet) until he is sentenced but I thought I'd get in trouble if I posted that here...

I absolutely have. I have a growing mental list in the last 3 days of those at high risk of doing so this week ....
We should have heard something by now about him reporting in , right?

I thought about it, but based on my own hunches and impressions which are not scientific or verifiable in any way I think he's too much of a big manipulative chicken and narcissist to do it.

Early civilization was barbaric. Millions of years of evolution has occurred. Evolution, your word, means change, biologically, to survive as the environment around one changes. "Thinking 100 years of civilization can undo 2 million years of evolution"...is silly, you say? No disrespect, but it's 'silly' to think that sentence makes sense. Evolution is change. We've been doing it since the dawn of time. Even our DNA manages to do it. It's silly to think 100 years of civilization can undo....1.the process by which different kinds of living organisms are thought to have developed and diversified from earlier forms during the history of the earth. (definition of evolution.)

Biologically normal men who are not afflicted with pedophilia could not even muster an erection at the thought of sex with, or sight of a naked 9 year old who just gotten her first period. Most would be nauseated. Most would feel the same about a 14 year old. In societies where being aroused by, and impregnating a 9 year old is common, it is perpetuated and celebrated by their culture and/or their religion. The males are humans, the master, the females are a receptacle for lust, a piece of property, chattel. This is not DNA. It's culture.

Was it programmed in human DNA to be instinctual to enslave other humans as if they were animals? All cultures have done it since the dawn of time. Slavery is instinct! Rape has existed since the dawn of time. Must be instinct. Even today, all men have it programmed on their DNA to rape? They're all just behaving because of our infantilizing, woman coddling society?

Can you outline what part of the male DNA strand, from the dawn of time and until now, resides the marker for all adult males to sexually respond with arousal to the thought, or sight, of any owners of bleeding orifices, no matter the chronological age of the orifice owner, or the stages of all the other parts of their physical and emotional maturity?

That one of your friends got married at 14 to a 28 year old man, and 'nobody bat an eyelid' speaks only to the culture of your countryside friends, and perhaps you. Behaviors, choices, acceptance of behaviors by the community are not proof of current evolved biological instinct. Biological instinct is an excuse people use to explain why they are behaving in a way that was only sociologically acceptable prior to our evolution into a civilized society. A civilized society which finds most 28 year old males actually seeing 14 year old girls as nothing more than they are. Still children.

To ask this undercover reporter to secretly record her children is so vile. I can't get my mind around it, it's like listening to a foreign language.... just can't understand the depravity.

I wish a plea wasn't offered, so he could be put away forever!!!

Where our real focus should be is how do we stop people like him? What are the signs of one? How are they getting away with it? Even once is a crime...let alone twice and even longer, it's the same crime committed. Stopping this behavior will be rough but piece by piece exposing it for what it is can help over time. The future is there...it's now to start changing it for the better of our children.

Just like many said about Jodi Arias...it's time for him to go away into the prison system of justice and out of our lives so we can concentrate on other people and events that do/did matter.

"deserves" to be raped. No one should wish someone else to be raped.

Being in prison is positively NOT a deterrent to child rape. When they get out, when they escalate, they
often kill the next victim so as not to go back to prison.
And I think that is probably at the root of all the
bad wishes these monsters get on this site.

Here at this site, too many bad things have been revealed that have been done to innocent children. It does warp the mind a little.

So, in essence, I am saying theoretically, you're correct about compassion for perverted monsters. But using that same compassion, I'm forgiving those who feel vengeful, I understand their vengeance comes from
compassion for the tiny victims, and I would like to see Jared and his evil friend executed swiftly and painlessly
on the picturesque Zionsville town square.
That to me would be compassionate, and more than they deserve, IMO.

It's not that any of us are at the same level as him. It's the desire for the old saying. "An Eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth", meaning he should have to experience what he put his victims through. Then many of these cowards might have second thoughts about their actions. We are bigger people than them if we treat them humanely in prison, that's far more compassion than they show their victims. We are on the same side here, we shouldn't be tearing each other down. (If one really feels a poster's opinion is stupid- and everyone is entitled to feel that way- that's what the Ignore feature is for, I've found it very useful for certain people I don't care to read what they have to say).

When I was a teenager, a girl I knew married a 26 year old. She was 13 and pregnant with his kid. The parents gave consent, and it was headline news in our area for like 6 months. She had the baby, and then they decided to press charges on him for statutory rape. Not sure why they even had it in their heads that it was acceptable in the first place, but the judge dismissed the case because the parents originally gave consent. That whole family was trashy and disgusting IMO.

I have an 11 year old daughter and it makes me sick to think about someone her age having sex. It makes me sad to think that ANYONE would think an adult being attracted to a pre-adolescent is socially acceptable. Just because our ancestors did it 100 years ago doesn't mean it was right, even then.

I got my first menses at age 11. My sister was 10. I also had already developed on the outside. IT IS STILL DISGUSTING to think that someone in their 20s would be "normal" if they thought about me sexually. And for you to imply that it is normal.....well, I have words that I can't say on here, for risk of being put in "time out." Shame.

I certainly hope your words don't come back to haunt you!!!!!
