I tend to agree. That said, there are many people who gain notoriety for non-significant things (Honey Boo-Boo's mother, other reality stars, etc) and people are shocked when they don't handle fame well or the loss of the veneer shows them to be reprehensible (even vile) people. I think that if Jared was not famous he would have been even more of a predator. JMHO.

It apparently hasn't occurred to him yet that he's going to be better off in prison where the people who want to kill him are a much smaller number vs the general public.

Actually, prisoners do not look kindly on pedophiles, and he'll be around far more violent people, so I can't guess where he is safer.

I think Jared Fogle is disgusting and his crime indefensible. I'd like to see him put away for a very, very long time.
However, if he wants to challenge his sentence and claim the judge went beyond authority, that is his right. What if he's correct the judge overstepped? That cannot be allowed in our system. Regardless of what we think if the criminal (and I have nothing but detest for Fogle), our system allows for appeals and challenges.
I know everyone knows that, but just wanted to point it out that Fogle isn't really being more disgusting by appealing his sentence. Let the courts sort it out (and I hope he loses his appeal, of course!!).

I'd like to say I'm sorry to hear that, but I wouldn't be telling the truth..
I am not a person who enjoys the pain of others. I don't think violence is the answer to almost anything. Fogle getting beat up because a felon dislikes pedophiles is sick and twisted as this guy has victimized people during many of his sprees, causing them harm of a different type. Unfortunately, this is what happens in prison. Fogle is just going to have to expect to take some lumps because of his despicable behavior.

I just saw this. I wonder how many other victims will come forward. There is no telling how many children were affected by one or the other or both of these sickening men.
