Hello! This is my first post on here, been mainly lurking.....First, my heart goes out to you. This is a heavy load to carry, and I hope given the time you have found some healing and peace.
"A" sounds like a piece of work. Piece of work doesn't mean murderer though. I lost my mom during my teens, during a time we had a lot of conflicts going on. I know people thought things about me at that time, that were really hurtful. Everyone does deal with things differently, and unless you have been thru that situation it is hard to predict what someone will do.

It seems to me she would of slipped up by now really.
The silver jeep registered in your parents name really struck me as odd. Did you ever find anything about this?
I am an ex wife of an avid hunter fisherman. As I read this, I couldn't help but think this was related perhaps to someone or a group he had contact with. Was there any sort of hunting/fishing/ confrontation? Your dad was ex drinker, I could see some sort of confrontation with some drunks hunting or fishing. Perhaps your dad said something.......???? These guys can be very territorial, perhaps someone intruding on fishing or hunting spot? I know this is probably just grasping at straws, but I just feel this is somehow a connection perhaps. Would you mind telling me where your dad hunted, fished in michigan and Indiana? (I know webster lake) Was he involved in any tournies shortly before that? Weekend camping trips?
One last thing, there was work being done on heating system for cottage, do you know these people are ? Is it a regular heating company or someone who does it on the side?
Hope I didn't bombard you with too many questions.......

Welcome to the thread.

You know a lot of information, as well as misinformation. Where did you hear about a Jeep, for example?

via this forum, that linked I think to a topix forum. I just found that interesting.

Nobody owns a silver Jeep. No Anderson and no friends of the Andersons, as far as any of us know. That's why I asked. There was a question about a truck at one time, however.

I did not mean to come off as suspicious, I really did read through most of the 2000+ posts!!! At one point, the silver jeep was mentioned, it was heard on a scanner, registering to Terry and Darleen.........
Honestly, I stumbled upon this while looking for information on another old case. And I started reading on this, and obviously couldn't stop. I just thought the meth/drug thing had been explored, that perhaps it was tied to something else........The things I read that were taken (crossbow, guns, etc) shouted out sportsman!!! I really was
just trying to help:innocent:

Thanks DK. That discussion on a silver jeep goes back to 2007. Easy to see how those of us not new to this case would have forgotten something posted on topix and brought here more than 4 years ago.

Welcome newbies! I'm glad to see new interest and new eyes on this case. :welcome:

The murder weapon was never determined right? Seems strange the lack of clues/evidence at the scene to me. Also, I wonder if Anyone had to take a lie detector test.....Double murder you would think so, but I don't recall reading that......

No, but it was believed to be an axe or hammer, possibly, based on a photo shown to Rosco and comments made by the media. The lie detector information would likely only be known to the family as most of that info was kept between LE and them and never made public.

Welcome to the case! I apologize for saying you had misinformation, you did not. :)
