Greenwood man makes emotional plea for help in locating his parents

A Greenwood man fears the worst after not seeing or hearing from his parents in almost two months.

Shane Hickey went to the Indianapolis Metro Police Department's Missing Persons Unit for help locating his stepfather and mother, Thomas and Melissa Steele.

Hickey shared with Eyewitness News he is hoping they are safe - especially because they missed the Thanksgiving dinner gathering at his grandfather's house. He is also concerned that his mother's disappearance is having a huge impact on his younger sister and her grades in high school.

Hickey disclosed several years ago his mother escaped captivity after a man they owed money to confined them. He fears something that drastic may have happened again.

Hickey believes his mother would have messaged Thanksgiving weekend and is keeping his fingers crossed police can help locate them before Christmas rolls around.
