When they heard gunshots, a stampede of people fled the common area where police say the shooting took place. They looked for a place to take shelter.

Employees of nearby stores like Burlington Coat Factory went into emergency mode and shuffled customers and scared shoppers to the back of the store and put entrances on lockdown.

"This was a targeted individual. They had words," Deputy Chief Brian Mahone said during a news conference aired on local television. "This is not a random act."

The gunman is still at large. He and at least one victim were acquainted, according to LE.

Apparently there have been no arrests despite surveillance video of the suspect(s). Looks like the gunman was wearing a hood.

The video taken from inside the mall shows a man wearing white running for his life as an armed shooter in black, clearly holding a handgun, repeatedly pulls the trigger.

Outside the mall, another camera shows a suspect running through the parking lot.

Suspect #1 is described as a black male 19 to 20 years old approximately 6'6", thin build wearing a black hoodie, armed with a handgun.

Suspect #2 is described as a black male, 19 to 20 years old, approximately 5'10", thin build, wearing black clothing.

One of the men shot and initially hospitalized has been arrested on charges of illegally possessing a firearm and theft.
