The Kokomo Police Department said Xavier Cannon left a relative's home in the 200 block of West Broadway Street on June 18 around 12:45 a.m. and did not return.

Anyone with information on Cannon's whereabouts is asked to call Captain Mike Banush at 765-456-7278 or the Kokomo Police Department Hotline at 765-456-7017.

The Kokomo Police Department believes a 16-year-old boy that was reported missing in June may be in the Anderson area.

On June 18 at about 12:48 a.m., officers took a missing person/runaway report from the mother of Xavier Cannon.

The incident occurred on June 15, 2021, at around 5:08 p.m. when Officers with the Kokomo Police Department to the Kokomo Beach Family Aquatic, located on W. Park Avenue, in reference to a shooting. When they arrived, they located a juvenile male victim with a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital and later flown to Indianapolis for further treatment.

Investigators are also attempted to find a third juvenile male, Xavier Cannon, 16, also from Kokomo.

Location: Kokomo Beach, 508 W. Park Ave.
Date/Time of Incident: June 15, 2021 at 5:08p.m.

On June 15, 2021, at approximately 5:08p.m., Officers of the Kokomo Police Department responded to the Kokomo Beach, 508 W. Park Ave., in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a juvenile male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital and later flown to Indianapolis for further treatment.
As a result of the investigation, a 17-year-old male from Kokomo was detained for Attempt Murder and a 14-year-old male from Anderson, Indiana was detained for Aiding, Inducing or Causing Attempt Murder.

Howard County Circuit Court issued a Pick Up Order for 16-year-old, Xavier Cannon, for Aiding, Inducing or Causing Attempt Murder. Xavier Cannon was also reported as a Runaway/Missing Person on June 18, 2021. On October 6, 2021, Xavier Cannon turned himself in to authorities.

This case remains active for investigation.
