You may well be right, as far as you go. The BPD took time to get going, and the DA never got off the launching pad. Meanwhile, the Ramseys and their lawyers went to work immediately, hiring experts, sabotaging potential witnesses (one that we know of) and so forth.

Exactly, the Ramseys were very proactive in this, which is not surprising since they knew who was responsible (BR), and the BPD didn't! :facepalm:

Regardless of which one was responsible, you illustrate an excellent point: they knew where to start. Moreover, they aren't bound to the same rules that police are.
