hi, I found a murdered man back in the winter in Indianapolis in the mid 2000s— like sometime between 2004 and 2006. I was in a park called Marat(sp) park and found a frozen dead man that had been shot in the creek. This park is right near a school for the deaf in Indiana if that helps clarify the park. He was Russian, I believe, and I remember he was 51, I think. He was named Igor and a Russian sounding last name. He was so frozen it took three days to defrost him to determine cause of death. I have tried to find information on him for years, and just heard about this website. The detective on the case was detective beavers. He was an African American detective that interviewed me as the person that discovered the body. The short article In The paper I read described a hiking family that found the body. I would love to know the outcome on this case, or any details. If anyone has any knowledge or could point me in a research direction I would appreciate it. I know it was a long time ago, but I think about it often.

Not by much!

The main library would be a great place to check for more information about "your" case.

My great-grandparents were nearby when a Cleveland Torso victim's body on Euclid Beach was found (nearby where earlier "Lady of the Lake" victim's body was found - by Lake Erie). She was never ID'd, I don't believe, nor head found.

My poor grandmother was never the same after seeing this, hope OP that your experience not as bad!
Oh, other thing was, they were visiting OH and were actually from Indianapolis!

Interesting, your poor grandmother. I bet she would have liked to know more. No, my experience was not really traumatic (I am a nurse and have seen lots of terrible things) but I never could find any information or outcome and have always been curious.

Carlarado, you might try the Prosecutor's Office & ask to speak with the Victim Advocate. Certainly Igor K. was the primary victim, you are a secondary victim. The Victim Advocate has access to information that the public does not, may be able to find out a bit more for you?
