Oh heck my parents home-brewed before I was born & still had some equipment when I was in grade school.

For a school project in first grade -- an Easter bunny face with moveable eyes -- each kid was supposed to bring in 2 bottle caps and 2 buttons.

I didn't ask, just climbed up to the box in the garage & picked out 2, opened the button tin & took out 2.

I remember another teacher coming into the room to see the smooth, unused bottle caps.

As an adult, my Mom told me that one of the teachers had called my home to see how I had such things....
