Could it be that they are hoping for a negligence charge rather than something else?

Ok this might sound completely bonkers, but I'm wondering what kind of person would admit to being "drunk" while home with her kids when one of her kids was abducted if they hadn't said so from the get go?

I mean she is saying on the news that the cops are going to arrest her. And then she hands them the means to do so. Right now they can't arrest her for Lisa, but they could arrest her for endangering the welfare of her children.

Now like I said maybe this is going to sound completely bonkers, but I'm wondering if this woman is not a publicity seeker who figures, that if CA can get off, maybe she can as well and since it's not as bad as CA, she's not out in clubs, she's crying on the news, not making up stories, maybe she'll get off and instead of being flat broke she and her family can sell their story and make it big?

I mean how many people looked at CA and her family and wanted to puke because they knew she'd basically be set for life off the money she and they made off interviews etc.

Just a completely crazy thought

Megyn Kelly's interview was by far the best out of the three I've seen.

I wanted to hear DB say, "I drank alot. Damn! I wish so bad I hadn't! I was irresponsible!" Nope, instead she downplays her responsibility in the disappearance of her daughter. I'm further convinced that she killed Lisa, accidentally, by passing out on top of her (LKB even theorized this on Joy Behar).

For the Grand Jury? Hmmm, maybe so. For appetizers. I wouldn't think they would need a GJ to arrest her for that, given this weekend's interviews. But LE wouldn't have known they would have taped confessions to child endangerment (imo) at the time they filed for Grand Jury subpoenas.

I think LE has some information directly related to culpability in the disappearance and they want to see if it passes the fly test.

I couldn't watch the interviews today. I just can't stomach those two right now. But I'm curious to know if any of the interviewers asked DB and JI why they haven't been pleading for the abductor to return their baby in the media? And why they haven't they been actively involved in searching, posting flyers, command posts, prayer vigils, etc. Did anyone ask and how did the parents respond?

I didn't hear anyone ask that, although in another thread some posters were discussing LB's comment "we couldn't search even if we wanted to". I don't know the context of that statement, but posters were catching the freudian slip "if we wanted to".

I'm not buying into the "Drunk" scenario at all. I will even state that anything she says I will not take as FACT. Her stories has changed and too much going on. Not believing her one iota!

I'm not buying it either ... I think this was all put together by the attorney JT as a DEFENSE STRATEGY ...

And how "convenient" to be "drunk" -- especially after that video of DB buying a "box of wine" was shown repeatedly over-and-over again the past several days ...

And I agree about DB's "stories" -- DB's "stories" have changed so much I can't keep up with them !

I remember the first interview I saw of DB and JI -- before I even read here at WS -- and my "first impression" was HINKY ... TOTALLY HINKY ! And my opinion has NOT changed ...

MOO ...

I don't think it had to do with GJ, more for anyone out there asked to serve on a trial jury. :)

The biggest bombshell to me isn't even the drinking. Yes that is bad that she drank enough to be drunk. But changing her story to the last time she saw Lisa was at 6:40 floored me. So there was not 7:30 there was no 10:30. She didn't even check on her before going to bed? And the baby monitor was in the bedroom. So from the time she put baby Lisa in the bed how many hours did she spend on the porch drinking with the neighbor where there was no monitor? No checking?

The changing of the time also bothered me, as well as her statement that "I was the last one who saw her." It just seems strange to me that she would say that so definitively.

I get the feeling Tacopina swooped in a little sooner than today, and told DB how to hone her story for today's media blitz. This is the last we will hear from mom and dad for a while, IMO.

During the Today Show interview, did DB admit that she had not talked to the other children about what happened that night? Is this true? I can't listen to the video right now, hubby lurking. xo

BBM: I agree ... she definitely "downplayed" her "responsibility" -- and IMO, was "snarky" at times in these interviews ...

DB is just NOT believable IMO ... too many "inconsistencies" in her "stories" ... and JI was too "calm" in these interviews ...

Even HLN was showing today's interviews on their shows ... I saw LKB on Behar's Show -- and when LKB stated that "theory", I wanted to "throw something at the tv" -- LKB makes me :furious:

LKB got her "THEORY" right here from WS ! And we know from "that other case" that LKB and other "defense attorneys" read here ... :innocent:

Some posters -- sorry can't remember who and when -- put that theory here !

MOO ... and "who dat" ... lol ...

Some notes from today regarding timeline and info:

When she said "At 6:40, I decided to put her down" that was an eerie comment to me.

Jeremy was home for 2 hours only. Why did he work that shift? Who decided that?

Why are they searching family car? Why confront her with cell phone pings and burning clothes? Who did she call? Where did she go? In the car?

5:00 mother arrives back from store with wine, baby wipes, and baby food - staging that she was alive? why hide the trip then? fbi found the receipt?
5:20 last seen alive by Jeremy as he heads to work, after being home for 2 hours.

6:45 mother's friend comes over perhaps? Did she have to change the time she put Lisa to bed to 6:40 because the neighbor says this didn't happen the whole time she was there?

She changed more than that. She took herself out of the computer room, the point of entry.

Found some info about the interview r.e. DB and the boys:

“They said they heard noises, but I don’t know if that was before they went to sleep or after,’’ Bradley said about her two sons. “I have not sat down and talked to them about it, specifically to not have to put them through anything else.’’

Why wouldn't she ask them about what they heard? It's her baby??? Argh....

She said she has not brought it up, specifically to keep them from going through this. IMO, she can say that till the cows come home. i will never believe another word from this bead. The boys weren't drunk. They know what went on in that house, before and after. She was giving the KCPD a heads up that they were not going to talk to the boys again. What i want to know is what they said in the first interview.

It's my understanding that DB does not drive. This has been posted here at WS but no one seems to know the reason why Deborah doesn't drive (beyond a somewhat lame excuse about her not being insured). I can't help wondering if she has ever had a drivers' license, if it has been suspended or revoked, and reasons behind this action?

Apparently she did have a license and did drive but I think she has some problems with insurance. She has had some tickets..and other issues. https://www.courts.mo.gov/casenet/base/welcome.do type in her name middle initial is L

Just cause she is not suppose to drive ..does not mean that she did not drive.

Yes. I can't even fathom that.

I would absolutely talk with my children about that night, and any feelings and questions they have. it isn't healthy to not discuss their missing sister with them. It makes me think DB just wants the other kids to forget Lisa existed.

Or DB is lying.

My opinions...

I wonder if this is when Jeremy went to work that night (6:40 pm)? When did he see Lisa? Was he at home when DB put Lisa in the crib?

Let me ask you guys a qustion/ You have seen the porch, stoop, whatever. No chairs, nothing there. Does it seem logical to you that they would party on the stoop or in the computer room?
