Intresting Observation

JR's a better detective, thats all. What you're calling suspicious is really just JR starting with the most likely criminal entry.

That defies, then, the theory that John was "out of his mind" with grief and confusion over the events of that morning. In order to be a detective, John had to be able to put his emotions in a mental compartment and ignore them while considering complex intellectual ideas such as what the optimal entrance would be for an intruder who did not resort to a simple ground-level door- or window-smashing. If you believe that John was able of compartmentalizing his emotions enough to perform intellectual detective work, then it is not a great leap of faith to say that he was able to compartmentalize his emotions enough to construct a cover-up of the murder of his daughter to protect either himself or someone he knew.

You cannot have it both ways. John cannot be out of control of his emotions on December 26th, and in control of them.

Who says JR was 'out of control'? I seriously doubt LE would have asked him to do anything if he was 'out of control' or 'overcome'. Men are known for control in panic situations anyway. Besides, the idea that JR was paralyzed with grief is contradicted by the evidence. He was asked to help, and when asked, began with the area he was most suspicious of--the basement.

23 With JonBenet, I felt we were going to get her

24 back. And I remember mustering every ounce of

25 mental capacity I had to get her back. And, so

0144

1 despite the fact that I was just going mad out of

2 my mind and my daughter wasn't there, I was trying

3 to muster logic and reason and, (Okay, settle

4 down. Let's get her back.̃

5 So after that first shock of, she's gone. I was

6 like, okay, what are we going to do. Let's get her

7 back. And so as the morning wore on that was what

8 was driving me. So I was trying to figure out

9 (INAUDIBLE) watching the house. What are we going

10 to do and all those kind of thoughts. And is she

11 in the closet or in the refrigerator or behind the

12 curtain.

13 Just kind of scatterbrain and just took that focus

14 and so --

Also JR (that I've found so far) has never stated that he told Linda Arndt or any other officer about finding the window open or the suitcase under it right after that first trip down to the basement. He said he latched it and never mentioned it to anyone except FW after they both went down there together later.

A guilty man, on the other hand, would have reason to set the intruder theory in motion as quickly as he could, while getting his daughter's rotting corpse into the frozen hands of morgue attendants as quickly as he could without causing undue suspicion due to his eagerness.
Which is why he waited 7 hours to find the body?

JR must have known that LE or the FBI and whoever else may of showed up would not search or find the body the house giving him all this time to contaminate evidence.

How did he know that?

I have another question. John must be very intelligent and surely noticed that LE were not doing a very good job and would have begun to complain and demand some action. He's not dumb enough to just keep quiet about finding the open window when that could be such a big clue or to just sit idly by while LE weren't really doing a whole lot or even searching the house.
