Hello Websleuths,
Firstly, I do apologise if I've posted this into the wrong place, i just couldn't is for the life of me find the introduction thread!
My name is Kelly, and I’ve long been drawn to the hidden, the forgotten, and the unsolved. From a young age, I was fascinated by puzzles, mysteries, and the quiet patterns that connect events others might overlook. Over time, this fascination evolved into a commitment: using those skills to illuminate cold cases, particularly those with darker, more macabre elements that linger in the shadows of history.
I have experience in meticulous research, timeline reconstruction, and archival investigation, working with public records, newspapers, genealogical resources, and historical mapping. I approach every case with care and ethical rigor — protecting identities, avoiding speculation that could harm, and always centering the dignity of victims and their families.
My connection to this work is deeply personal. I am a survivor of childhood abuse, and I feel a responsibility to pursue justice, clarity, or understanding wherever I can. Cases involving vulnerable children, exploitation, or unsolved tragedies resonate with me profoundly, and I strive to contribute with empathy, patience, and persistence.
I’m here to learn from experienced sleuths, to offer structured, careful research, and to collaborate on investigations where a fresh perspective or attention to overlooked details might help. I understand the weight of these cases, and I aim to be a steady, respectful presence in discussions and research.
Thank you for welcoming me into this space. I look forward to connecting with fellow investigators, learning from your expertise, and offering whatever insight I can to help bring clarity to cases that have remained unresolved for too long.
With respect,
Kelly L.
