Just googled the location to check out the building on the left in the 2nd pic. Apparently it’s a derelict Martello Tower. It’s unclear to me whether or not it’s accessible, and I doubt very much she is in there but I would hope it’s been checked out in the circumstances. Sadly I think she is elsewhere. Thinking of her daughter and loved ones.

Ah, no That's directly east of where Bernadette went missing, approx. 6.7km - 4 miles - away (according to google). Of course it may not be her, but sad news in any case. Thoughts with all loved ones concerned.

I had wondered if she had gone off into the water. Leaving her phone and purse behind would suggest she had done that.

The area seems rife with bodies.

This report of train line closed yesterday, Dublin Live's headline is that is that it was due to a body being found in North Dublin near Donabate (still on their Twitter feed) - where BC was first reported as being last seen at.

Edit: updates only saying 'serious incident' now.

I wonder if she walk out and got caught on a sandbar? It all just seems so strange. That area is really active, people with dogs etc, that it seems strange she would have disappeared.

Does anyone have a media link to any mention of where they found her phone?

I know they said she took a photo of the Malahide Grand Hotel. Is there any other useful info on her phone? Had she been in contact with someone recently? Was she on any dating apps?

So she took her jacket off? (or else someone else did, but that would seem risky out in the open in mid-day.) The temperature that afternoon was between 1C and 3C...definitely jacket weather by the shore!

It was a chilly day, and even more so near the shore there with the breeze. That she went with a towel that hasn't been found makes it seem like she may have planned to go somewhere she might get wet, or perhaps she wanted to do an cold plunge? But it would seem someone would have seen her going into the water.
