[...]

Speaking to The Star, Brian’s heartbroken sister Geraldine explained that there “was nothing usual” going on with Brian nor anything unusual about the day.

“He didn’t show up for work,” said Geraldine.

“He never returned home. He lived with our parents Nuala and Eugene,” said Geraldine.

“It’s completely out of character and we just want him home. We are hoping someone knows something.”

“We have searched the town and the river and everywhere,” she said, adding that Brian was reported missing to gardai that evening at 7pm.

“Waterford Search and Rescue were out looking for him without delay and continue to look for him. But it seems he has completely vanished,” she said.
