Fellow Aussies, it appears that our nefarious plot to export all our attention-seeking nutjobs to the Northern Hemisphere has been discovered.

FOILED AGAIN! :python:

THE woman at the centre of a worldwide police appeal after being found in a Dublin street confused and virtually unable to communicate is believed to be Australian student called Samantha, the Irish Independent reports. But local police have yet to publicly confirm her identity.
It is understood a relative called to a police station in Dublin city on Tuesday after seeing a photograph issued in the appeal. A passport is believed to have confirmed her identity.

If nothing else this story makes me think several related thoughts.

1. How hard it would be to disappear if you wanted to
2. How amazing it is that we DO have unidentified victims.
3. That people occasionally voluntarily disappear and show back up decades later.

Of course, if she hadn't acted dazed and co fused she wouldn't have drawn LE attention.

Weird story.

November 07, 2013

A COMPLEX picture is emerging of the mystery Australian woman being held in Dublin, Samantha Azzopardi. A former boss described her as "a lovely girl who had issues", while revelations of forgery convictions tell a more disturbing story.

Australian woman found in Ireland had number of aliases and was known to Australian authorities

She showed up recently in Canada. http://calgary.ctvnews.ca/australia...hief-in-false-sex-exploitation-case-1.2041549

snipped by me
Calgary police have laid mischief charges against a woman who claimed she was a 14-year-old girl who had been kidnapped and sexually abused for several years.

At about 4:00 p.m. on September 16, a woman went into a northeast health centre and told staff there that she was a victim of an abduction and prolonged sexual assault.

On October 2, Calgary police were told about a similar case that was investigated in 2013 in Dublin. That case was also intensively investigated and the woman’s claims proved to be false and she was charged.

I hope she gets mental help.

Seems like a weird variation of Munchausen's.

If you think so. I can think of a much better diagnosis, but it would get censored on here, more than likely.
It might stay up if I just say "psychotic puppy-producer."

She is doing an immeasurable disservice to people that have actually been victimized in such a way (actually spitting a big slimy one in their eyes).

And how did the crazy girl afford the globetrotting seems to have done?

This reminds me of a Law & Order SVU episode about a grown woman who went around pretending she was a teenage girl. If IRRC, she eventually accused a male high school student of rape.., Anyway, I remember the woman-girl saying that she had to stay in high schools because the other kids got older, but she didn't.

Azzopardi may not KNOW she's not 14.

Maybe. But I don't see how somebody wouldn't have tried to get her some kind of treatment before she had the chance to zig-zag across the world and cause one scene after another. I'm not saying that she doesn't have a mental illness or anything like that. I just don't like that she's given a bunch of people the Scarlet letter (being accused of a sex offense). It can/will be dropped, but the way she did it was kind of loud.
