Gardaí are appealing to the public for assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 58-year-old Jacqueline (Jackie) Commins who was last seen on Friday, 14th April 2023 in Swinford, Co. Mayo.

Jacqueline is described as being 5 foot 8 inches in height with a slim build. She has shoulder-length blonde hair. When last seen, Jacqueline was wearing a blue shirt and blue trousers.

It is understood Jacqueline is travelling in a gold-coloured Volkswagen Golf car with partial registration 161-D.

Gardaí and Jacqueline’s family are concerned for her welfare. Anyone with information on Jacqueline’s whereabouts is asked to contact Ballina Garda Station on 096 20560, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.

The search for missing Mayo woman Jacqueline Commins has been called off after gardai revealed a body has been found.

Gardai confirmed on Tuesday morning that Ms Commins body was discovered on Monday, April 17 following three days of investigating.

They said in a statement: 'An Garda Síochána would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance.

'No further media action is required and no further information is available at this time.'
