Gardaí in Bray are renewing their appeal for the public’s assistance in relation to the discovery of a body of a man on Bray Beach on 27th March 2017. The man remains unidentified.

He is described as:

white, approximately early 40’s, blue eyes, very slim build, dark brown hair greying around the temple. Height - 186cm or 6’1” -Weight - 60.1kg

He has no marks or tattoos.

Description of clothes-green and brown camouflage jacket; blue jeans and black runner boots. He was found with a brown and green camouflage rucksack. A pair of glasses was also found.

Body found on Bray beach identified using DNA analysis

Gardai have identified a man whose body was found on Bray beach in Co Wicklow last month.

The man’s body was identified using DNA analysis on Tuesday afternoon. It is understood the test took place after his family came forward following last week’s appeal .

No name released though.

Actually this article says his name was Mark Swan

"After a DNA test, Bray Gardaí have just confirmed the man’s identity.
Mark Swan was fully clothed when he was found on the beach near the harbour wall back on the morning of Monday, March 27th. It was just after 7am that an early morning walker spotted the body."
