Hmmm…I don’t remember posting anything about this and I can’t see any posts by me regarding this. Not really a big deal but confusing.

I do think it's interesting that he's stayed, more or less, around the area. I'd imagine housing for him would've been far easier to source in Tralee than the backhole of nowhere in Kerry (I call it that with love, I also live in a backhole of nowhere area).. and the solicitor is correct, he has made no attempt to hide himself.

I haven't really seen enough of him to judge his personality.. is he the type of person who'd be so certain he won't be caught, that he'd fearlessly stay in the same area? Is he a bit of a loon?

''Gardaí investigating the murder of Michael Gaine on his farm in Co Kerry almost a year ago are putting “enormous effort” into solving the crime, with hopes pinned on crime scene analysis by US forensic experts returning positive leads.
Mr Gaine (56) was reported missing last March, and his body parts were later identified in a slurry tank on his farm, 6km outside Kenmare.''

"Tributes to the farmer have not stopped since his death last year, with the local community honouring his memory in Kerry.

“In November at the Killarney Historic Rally, Janice, Michael's wife, donated a cup to the rally and they instituted what's called the 'Carrig Cup.' It's the Mike Gaine perpetual trophy,” he explained.

The Killarney District and Motor Club also held a gathering at the Kenmare Golf Club in memory of Michael Gaine and in recognition of the Carrig Cup.

“It was a night of memories of Mike and to recognise both him and his contribution [to the club].”

“He was the heart of rallying in the Kenmare area and part of the Killarney District Motor Club,” he added.'
