Do you think she would leave without her coat? Was it warm that evening and she simply forgot, or could something sinister have happened in the bar?

I checked weather for that area for tonight and it is a low of 40, but feels like 27. So if last night was similar, it seems like she would have to be REALLY drunk to leave without her coat.

“ A spokesperson for the Irish Coastguard said a Rescue 116 rescue helicopter was despatched at 18.49 GMT on Sunday.

Kilkeel lifeboat was also launched and searched the coastal area around the southern end of Carlinford Lough.

The search was suspended as darkness fell and will resume on Monday morning.”

This is unbelievable how she can disappear in 30 mins or less when she’s with 31 other women. I was hoping they’d find her tonight

Do you think there’s any chance that the bouncer said he would drive her to Newcastle once his shift ended, and she hung around to wait for him? It looks to be only an hour away.

I'm hoping there's good cctv around that will show if she left with anyone or at least what direction she went, if anyone was following her etc.

It seems the Guardai suspect she has ended up in the water :( I wonder if there are many CCTVs around the southern end of Carlinford Lough.

I wonder how those 31 women got to the house/bar, did she drive up with someone else or drive herself? Is her car still there? How did she think she was getting back to Newcastle that night?

Bridesmaid Katrina O'Hare told Belfast Live: "We thought she was going to head home to Newcastle because she had said to a bouncer she was going to get to Newcastle from here but her partner and kids were at her mum's house in Ligoniel .

Quote 2

Ruth's friend Katrina O’Hare said the group "all headed home to house we are staying in” at 11.30pm.

The house is less than five minutes from Taaffe’s bar, where the hen party had been socialising beforehand.

Within minutes of returning to the house, they realised Ruth was not with them.

I’m confused , which is it , they thought she’d gone home or realised within minutes not with them ?

Why would she tell a bouncer rather than a hen ?

Surely cctv has been reviewed at this stage, there's an almost exact time, there looks to be tons of pubs and shops around that bar, she must have been picked up somewhere on camera or dashcam.

A hen party of 32? That many people would fill most bars.

I can see how they could all leave and not notice she was missing.

Surely they thoroughly searched the bar, including the restrooms within the 30 minutes from when they left.

Have they mentioned if she seemed overly intoxicated or not (ie: something poured into her drink?)

I think the really need to interrogate that bouncer

I think the bar is large with several hen parties in it that night

I agree that it would be useful to speak to the bouncer. They must talk to.so many people in one night, why remember such specific details

I just did a walk up and down the street via Google Maps and there are several pubs etc. along that street. She couldn't have been the only one out there at that time. It is only about two blocks to the water but she would have had to cross a relatively busy street it appears and the water is down below a sea wall, it looks as it she would have had to jump. Why would she do that?
Why wouldn't the other 30 women have seen her if she was outside, they left around the same time the bouncer heard her comment didn't they?

It's unclear to me - did she have a car there to drive back in? Did she take a bus? Did her partner drop her off?

How would she have expected to get back to either Newcastle or Belfast from Carlingford?
