Richard Satchwell, 58, has been found guilty of murder after his wife's remains were found under stairs at their home.

A jury of seven women and five men spent nine hours and 28 minutes deliberating before coming to the unanimous verdict today -
Satchwell, who sat with his head in his hand as the jury entered the courtroom, will be sentenced on June 4.
Tina's family wept as the guilty verdict was read out today.

Thank goodness, guilty and rightly so. I've followed Tina's case since she 1st went missing.
She sounds like she was a lovely lady. I hope she's a peace

Of course the unremorseful vile excuse for a man wants to appeal ,did we expect any more from that narcissistic murdering 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

14 previous convictions!!! , Tina was way too good for that snivelling liar

To all the women and men out there that may be victims of DV or if you are spotting red flags . Your intuition is right , your family's intuition is right and you will never Fix an abuser , no amount of promises and guilty gifts will change the abuse . Reach out , talk to someone, anyone . You will never be alone even if you think you will be . Honestly and I won't lie . There will be fear ,there will be loneliness at first prehaps you will miss them but I promise you, get over that hurdle and life will get better . If you need to escape go to a women's/ men refuge .material things can be replaced You cannot be and You are worth more than all the gold in the world ❤️❤️❤️

May I ask what a press is?

E.g. “and that he had taken out the standalone shower to replace it with a press after his wife died”

Ahhh ok, thanks. Like a linen press? We don’t really use that term in Australia so I was confused.
In a bathroom, usually for towels, toiletries, cleaning products. I assume RS thought it wouldn't look out of place after removing the shower. JMO

Speaking on Friday, Harris accepted that "in hindsight" it may seem "pretty obvious" where her remains were kept.

In 2017, an initial search of the Satchwell home was undertaken, but officers did not intrusively examine an area where construction work had been carried out.

The investigation was also hampered by Tina being "isolated" while being "coercively controlled", meaning few people knew her.
