Mexico City, June (SinEmbargo) .- María de la Luz López Castruita has been searching for almost 11 years for her daughter Irma Claribel Lamas López, who disappeared in Coahuila. The mother assures that the young woman was a victim of human trafficking and is still hoping to find her alive, since she has recently obtained indications that she could be in street condition in a state in the center of the country.

On August 13, 2008, Irma Claribel, then 17 years old, packed a small suitcase, ordered a taxi and went to the home of an alleged friend who took her to the Torreón truck station. In that place he would meet a woman he had just met and who had invited her to a supposed concert with all expenses paid to Saltillo, Coahuila. Since then, the family has never heard from her again.

María de la Luz López Castruita has searched for her daughter on her own. The authorities, he accused, did not want to file the complaint on the grounds that his daughter "was chatting or with her boyfriend"; It was not until a month and a half after he was accepted to file a complaint.

Lucy, as friends and victims of disappearance tell her, no longer only looks for her daughter but also provides support to family members who have loved ones absent.
