I can't help but wonder now how long it will take Baez to step down from this case only saying he doesn't have enough experience to defend Casey? Certainly he would lie about his reasons to keep him from admitting he was going to make a huge dime.
I thought at first that he just might be budding up with GR just in case she was convicted, thinking he may become part of the "panel" at large..

I'm glad something is finally coming out on this. I've been wanting to see something about the money trail for a long time. I will have to dig this out of my files but a while ago, I was trying to find info on any possible connections between KFN and NLHF and ran across something (easy to google) on the internet by some folks who were a tad worried about both. Within the information, they had traced Todd B's media company AIM Productions to an address in an office building in KY. Within that same building, if I remember correctly, are many other front "addresses" where mail is collected and one of them was for an executive with the company that owns the tabloid empire in Florida of The Enquirer, Globe, etc.

Who was the company backing Vergie in the Anna Nicole S. fiasco? Sun something? They were paying for her attorney fees and everything else so she could get the baby and they could get the rights. Backfired on them...thank goodness...but I could see that company latching onto this case.

Whoever is doing this may have learned their lesson from that and simply gone for prolonged exposure rather than a specific outcome.

I always thought it was odd JB didn't file for speedy trial immediately, particularly before a body had been found. You just don't see defense counsel as usually dragging their feet so much.

I realize that these rags pay millions for Brangelina Baby photos, but even if photos are not part of the deal, just keeping the public eye trained on the case would be good. On NG a while back it was reported that JB had supposedly been pimping KC out for a $500K exclusive interview deal (though no source was cited). That would certainly fit into a tabloid deal down the road as well. Did anyone ever figure out what organization that was with?

Well, if they are neutralizing their negative publicity by paying for the best defense money can buy, they may be able to justify it!!

This whole thing is so beyond sordid on every level, it's mind-boggling.

IIRC they have a lawsuit regarding Heath Ledger in court right now...2 of their reporters filmed Ledger doing drugs...which they may or may not have purchased/supplied!

Don't be! I didn't know that about H.L. and the drugs. It does tell us what lengths they would go to for sordid stories. They are definitely a company to suspect wanting to insert themselves in this case.

after watching the defense atty on JVM last night..think the name was John Brown of Fl...wouldn't be surprised if he was soon announced to be lead counsel.....think last night he submitted his resume by announcing her innocence along with not believing anything about mm......just a thought--I remember when Mark G changed his tune about Lacy Peterson....:waitasec:

After all the stunts he has pulled, Geraldo isn't going anywhere. His last one was the "World Exclusive" showing the video of the PIs' search...we saw how that worked out for him! (My fav comment here was from DianeB saying it was like..."Radio!". hehehe) Yet...he is still there to help spin with the defense team, imo.

I had this feeling after this came to light.. since that last statement that BC made on the GR show (the night they showed the PI's video) about NO ONE making money off of Caylee. My feeling are that the A's got wind of the moeny being made when the report of the 200,000 to the defence was stated and they are trying to put a end to it..
