lol... that is funny.
I am still on the fence about whether I think a network movie will be made first or if the 🤬🤬🤬🤬 parody version will hit the shelves first. Hopefully he will refrain from playing himself in that one.

Maybe it's not a contingency deal. Maybe he's making deals on Casey's behalf with media and using those brokered deals to pay for his fees and expert fees. Could it be said that Casey's not profiting if the money is going directly to her defense? If it's not a contingency deal, is it legal? He made a big deal about the word "contingency" in his statement.

I doubt that he is collecting fees or will collect fees. I'm sure the deal is paid expenses which how the other attorneys and experts are being paid. Those experts that require a fee are being paid, but that is an expense. Consultants to these big cases will sometimes agree to this because the publicity is worth as much to them as their fees.

By doing it this way consultants, etc., can claim they are not working pro bono - which they're not - they're working for expenses. Some will agree to a per diem and others to submit expenses to the defense. That's how this works.
