It is like a great welcome break to have a second of not hearing her loud dumb opinions on misguided truths but using cute little animals like that to distract from how awful her show is just wrong!

It irritates me anyway when the NEWS is open to cute photos of pets.. that is what the internet is for. You are going to spend 30 mins talking about JA and her sex issues and then flip to cats and eating vegetarian..

It is hard to get just news on cases any more. Thank goodness for WAT.

PBS is the only station that has news, a local show and docs that hold my attention. I have CNN on in the background sometimes, but more often it's C-SPAN now, lol. I especially love to watch those Brits in Parliment, love how even the those in the heated debates start out by saying "The right honorable gentleman..." before even the most biting comments, the indistinguishable banter in the background and that they are squeezed together like sardines. Can you imagine a tea partier and a lib squished together in Congress lol.

Anyway, I do turn to CNN every now and again. Just did when there was some breaking news. Watched for about 1/2 hour.

But Nancy has needed to go for a long time. They all have become so sensationalized. SMH.

That's what's disappointing. I do find NG to be irritating, but I think her heart is in a good place. She fights hard for the missing (even if she's wrong part of the time).

Now why don't the can JVM? I'm a recovering alcoholic, pet rescuerer? I find she brings little to the table of HLN.

I didn't need to read any news article to know that HLN was going down the tube. All of a sudden Showbiz was running 24/7 (or seemed to be). Trial coverage was gone, and I have abandoned it for the most part.

I've been retired and semi-homebound for 13 years now. I was home alone all day while DH worked and I don't do quiet well. Fortunately, being a True Crime junkie, I had Court TV which went down the tubes. InSession helped for 6 hours a day, but I tuned out TruTV when the reruns came up. I ended up with HLN out of desperation. Now, that's gone as well!

Now, I'm reduced to 20/20, Dateline, and some Discovery ID reruns of those programs. I like Tamron Hall, Paula Zahn, and any other program that doesn't exploit sex as a theme. No Wives with Knives for me. Oh, I do like Deadly Women and Candace Brown's programs.

I've ended up with watching National Geographic programs and know more about life in Alaska than I really need to know.

As for Nancy, I've been a fan of her for years, since Court TV. I don't care for her on-screen persona, but she does advocate for the missing, children especially.

Thank goodness for WS, WAT, and live streaming of trials. It's my sanity.

I don't know if you've seen it, but Oprah's Channel is running a lot of those reruns. I can't stand the murder stuff. I like the LE aspect and advocating for the victims.

Fox is worse. I started watching that Judge Jeanine show after Greta stopped covering crime and went all 'political', and whaddahyaknow a couple of months on the air and the Judge Jeanine show is all about Benghazi!

Because you know Faux does need to push the same argument down your throat 24/7 and god forbid they stop the rhetoric for even an hour to have a show based on trial watching.

I did the same thing.Quit watching. Judge Jeanine is worse, every week she bashes the POTUS with that assinine smirk in her opening. Then I turn it when she starts her "political rant". She never covers any crime or trial coverage. She also really over dresses for a cable tv show.

BBM: I literally spit my water out of my mouth when I seen this comment, CarolinaMoon! I used to want to go to Alaska, but after watching the aforementioned programs, I think I will stay right where I am! I can't remember the name of the one show, but one of people, his name was Antz Lee (sp), just makes me crazy. He better thank his lucky stars his wife is so good at living out there in the wild, because if they depended solely on him, well, they would have been dead a long time ago. LOL He is lucky his wife hasn't thrown him out to the bears or something...LOL

Leave Nancy alone, hln. I think shows that spotlight crime, missing children and adults are very important. Someone has to get the word out.

Oy, first they take the court out of court tv and flip it into true tv, (trashtv) whatever that is and now there is nothing but stale trash on true trash tv. Don't even waste my time glancing at the guide it has got so bad. :tantrum:
