Is this case just an ugly domestic dispute between Terri and Kaine..??

  • #41
In any respect... All I want like everyone else here is to see Kyron again...I guess what I really meant was that I am sick and tired of the dramatic's in this case..

DV is drama filled that's a given. I'm not understanding the complaints of having to deal with this case. The people involved can't take a break from it. Do people really think that KH is filing for divorce, RO's and contempt motions merely to create drama and aggrivate the rest of us? I guess he shouldn't take appropriate action because it's....causing drama? If it's causing drama I vote that TH is causing it and LE and family to sort it out and clean it up.

I have no words. It's unfathomable to me that someone could hurt or kill a child just to get back at their spouse. I don't care how much the parents hate each other... their kids didn't cause this. Kill each other, but LEAVE THE KIDS OUT OF IT!!!

bbm

I think that was the original plan.. and when that didn't work.. this was Terri's next step... imo of course

  • #43
It's an ugly missing child case that has a domestic dispute mixed in. No way I see to spin it the other way around.

And if TH turns out to be the perp, I'll wager she's the cause of the dispute.

  • #44
This very well be a domestic gone wrong. I have never seen so many self-absorbed individuals.

I am beginning to believe this is a horrible family dispute going on publicly and Kyron has become lost in all of the salacious tidbits that frankly I am already tired of hearing about it. Why did they have to release the contempt of court motion to the media. Why not handle it in secrecy too?

I have read article after article today and have seen the national news channels and the main theme is Terri Horman is having an affair.

The only way Kyron is mentioned in many of the print media is them inserting the same wordage that they have used from day one and give a small paragraph about the day he went missing.

That is so sad and heartbreaking to me. Where are you little buddy? Who is searching to find you?

What Terri Horman has done with some other dude since Kaine moved out and after Kyron went missing is not relevant to finding Kyron imo.

IMO

Better they should have just kept it like that.....hasn't helped Kyron, and the other children will live with this forever.

I really think that LE is behind the revelations of KH and DY about TH, the RO, and so forth.

I base this on the facts that KH, DY, and TY really want TH to cooperate and they are cooperating fully with LE. I don't think the bioparents and TY would do anything to jeopardize the investigation. I don't think they would do or say or do anything without LE's approval -- either with LE's outright advice or approval, or LE saying it won't hurt and/or could help.

From what it appears, it seems to have gotten ugly even before Kyron was born. But there have been really ugly domestic disputes for eons.....there was no need for it to lead to this. It seems LE got into all of this right away, no wonder they are so sure it is an isolated incident. I sure hope that some sicko did not luck into by chance grabbing a child when no one would be led to looking in that direction for answers. It seems like LE has every reason or inclination to look in any other direction. What a horrible mess adults create when the KIDS are not more important than themselves!!!

jmo

I'm confused by the 2nd to last sentence here...you think LE DOES have every reason to look elsewhere for the answer? Or the opposite, that this (Terri/inside job) is the right inclination?

What I can't decide is if Kaine really thought he had an OK/average marriage up until June 4th or a few days later, when he started doubting Terri. Some men are very obtuse about relationships and if they did not fight openly and often, it is possible, I guess, that he thought all was as well as could be expected with a post-post-partum wife, young baby and a young child. But it is kind of hard to fathom not knowing that you are living with someone who would rather see you dead.

My husband is fairly oblivious about a lot of things. If I were to go missing, he would be absolutely guilty-acting, as he never knows what time it is, he nods off constantly (he works graveyard) often does not know if I am in the house or not, would have no clue what I might be wearing and would probably give a very vague description of what I even look like. But I still think he would know if I was back here in my little cave plotting his demise.

Why did they have to release the contempt of court motion to the media. Why not handle it in secrecy too?

I don't know why it wasn't sealed by the judge but they didn't release it to the media. The media has people camped out at the courthouse and online looking for filings and briefings. The media has the right to access public documents unless the judge seals them. That's how these things get into the public domain---because they are considered public documents unless they are sealed for legal cause.

In FL, all documents are (eventually) public domain under that state's "Sunshine Laws."

These are First Amendment issues, which is why we often see media lawyers arguing for access to state documents in many cases.

Seems they had lots of dysfunction to hide. JMO

It looks like the main party contributing to the dysfunction was TH.

The other stuff is run of the mill dysfunction that could be found in any family, if you consider multiple marriages and blended families, and even fathers having custody to be dysfunctional. I'll even stick having affairs into the ordinary dysfunction category because from what I have read a large percentage of married people do. (I rely on stats because no one I know has ever had an affair - at least that they've told me about.)

But this disappearance of a child and murder for hire allegation ... no, that is not ordinary dysfunction.

I still believe Kyron was (and hopefully will be) a well-loved and cared for child, until suddenly that changed on June 4. I hope with all my heart that he was, and that TH was not hiding abuse (emotional, verbal, physical) of Kyron for years.

At risk of saying this unpopular view, but Kaine does have a person in his family who is/was in jail for a very offensive act.. This person openly admitted in the court that his "offense" had alsohappened to him as a child... This view makes me wonder about alot of whats going on now.. (without saying too much..kwim)

I hope it isn't connected. I would hate to be tarred with a brush not of my own making, if I were KH, and it is not connected.

Similarities to Murder-for-Hire plot
Monday's court filing also stated that police had told Kaine that Terri's "sexual overtures to Mr. Cook resemble those made to the man Respondent (Terri Horman) attempted to hire to murder Petitioner (Kaine)."

http://www.kgw.com/news/local/Court...n-kyron-horman-contempt-sexting-98270654.html

I think it is relevant because the sexual overtures were similar to those in her dealings with the landscaper.

A couple of days ago, I was convinced that TH was the main perp, and that DY and KH were were amazingly strong people who I admired.

Now I'm back to nothing making sense again, not trusting anyone, and thinking that they all have closets jam-packed with skeletons. :banghead:

What went on their marriage really has nothing to do with us, except there is a missing child in the equation, and it could have played a role in Kyrons disappearance.

I feel as though I am thown between a domestic fight between Terri and Kaine..!! Terri's 16 yr old was placed into another home a couple months ago and now Kyron is missing, (hoping he is with a close friend or family).. and the acquesations (sp) goes on and on and on... This case is sickening anymore... If this a battle of the wits for who can get the better of who, I'm out..!! sorry to rant...but this is how I'm feeling??? I feel played into the middle of a domestic dispute that made national headlines... Maybe that is why the family stayed so quite for a week and a half or so... :furious: JMO and a very strong opinion at that...!!!

ETA:: I FEEL LIKE A SH*T FOR USING THE WORD "JUST" .. PLEASE DISREGARD THAT WORD FROM THE THREAD... I FEEL BAD ABOUT IT.. :( :(

Hey fellow poster, thread starter, do not feel bad. I totally "got" what you meant and most folks give others the benefit of the doubt. Dont beat yourself up over semantics. The word "just" - as I read it - was not being dismissive of a missing child. Good Lord we know you didnt mean it that way. No one here would be here if we had that attititude. I inferred "just" as in "as opposed to" like - as opposed to a murder for hire.. as opposed to child trafficking... as opposed to... well, not "just" as in "merely." No way. Relax. I get it and Im guessing that many do. I support you and dont want you to feel bad.

HUGS

It's not a domestic dispute. It's a terrible crime. Every day it seems KH and DY learn something more shocking and horrifying about what is going on. Because Kyron is not home there is little they can do now but vent their utter shock and disgust at what TH is doing and possibly find some way at getting the truth.

I believe Kaine is trying to get as much information into the court documents as possible to protect himself, his young daughter and Kyron.

The fact that his school buddy poofs himself into the picture when his son disappears, and winds up photographing the RO, sending it to two people, looking up his address on google and being sexual with his wife is yet another mind boggling blow he must be struggling to understand. And this is similar to how TH worked with the landscaper, police tell him? Scary. Scary that she tried to sneak away his daughter, too.

No, I don't think this is about a jilted husband slinging mud in the press. No, it's not a domestic issue. It's so far beyond that. It's unimaginable. It's a nightmare he can't wake up from.

IMO

bbm

Exactly. I agree

I can't help but wonder if this were reversed and it was TH with a missing child, KH plotting to do a MFH and sexting a woman, the attitude and posts would be totally different.

So why the double standard because Kaine is a man?

My problem with this is that for someone to do harm to a child it usually doesn't happen on a whim. Kryon would probably have been treated differently, maybe even abused but we have not heard any of that. Did he talk to his mom and step dad? Did he have problems going back to that house after time with his mom? These are things I would like to know, not who she is sending pictures to or he said/she said. How was she towards Kaine?

When I was a stepmother, there were red flags shooting up all over the place that my stepchildren's custodial mother's live-in boyfriend was abusing the children.

The children admitted nothing. They were too scared that they would not be believed by anyone who could save them, and admissions would land them in big trouble. They were right about that.

The first flags were merely indicative, but I could not convince my now-former husband to see that these were flags. The flags increased in intensity, until I was positive.

Neither my former husband nor the children's mother would agree that there was a problem.

I divorced my former husband because of this, when he refused at the last minute to take custody of the children because he decided they wanted to live with us because they wanted to get back at their mother because they were mad at her.

Two years later, I went to visit him and the kids (I had moved far away). Immediately, they sat me down and told me the whole story, and it turned out I was 100% right.

Their father had refused to listen to my analysis at the time. He had a picture of his ex-wife, the children's mother, in his mind, and anything that didn't match with that was irrational because it couldn't happen in our family because she was a good mother. He made excuses for the all the red flags.

Their mother, IMO, was mostly interested in not rocking the boat financially because she had a better lifestyle with the live-in boyfriend than without him (more money to spend on herself). I do think she took the boyfriend's side over that of her kids because of money. I don't think she knew the extent of the abuse.

I divorced him because the lawyer we consulted about gaining custody said the situation was none of my business, that I was only the stepmother who had no legal rights, and there was nothing I could do about it when my husband changed his mind.

Anyway, the point is my stepchildren were being abused by their mother's live-in boyfriend. No one with power (their bioparents) would do anything about it. They were ages 9 to 12, and none of them said one word to anyone about it.

And about those red flags, I think most everyone here would agree that they were red flags. But in the course of ordinary life, there are plenty of people who would not pay much attention to them except in hindsight.

Yep! Very relevant in establishing behavior patterns, determining her character (or lack thereof), personality, stress management, etc. Gives insight to what she is actually capable of.

what is Kaine supposed to do? Keep living with TH?

He files all of these court things and it's there for the public to see.

I am sure people continue to be interested in this case and Kyron is THE case.

His name is out there.

People were worried that no one was interested in Kyron a couple of weeks ago.

That's over now.

Look at the interest this case has generated on WS.

I applaud the man for not being a weeny, and protecting his daughter. He HAD NO CHOICE but to file this stuff after finding out he had a big ol' bulls eye on his back.

I am by no means trying to make light of Kyron being missing.. but all this, she's having an affair, and he's having an affair is unreal in the just of finding Kyron... I think that the press is catching on too...

He's having an affair too!?
