One day after launching strikes on Iran that killed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and embroiled the region in war, President Trump told me this morning that the country’s new leadership wants to talk with him and that he plans to do so.

“They want to talk, and I have agreed to talk, so I will be talking to them. They should have done it sooner. They should have given what was very practical and easy to do sooner. They waited too long,” Trump told me in a phone call from his Mar-a-Lago resort shortly before 9:30 a.m.

This might be one time I would like to see other countries that are threatened by Iran or have been fired on by Iran present as well. JMO

Since the start of the war, the Iranian regime has launched over 588 missiles and 893 drones at nine countries across the Middle East. The UAE, Israel, and Qatar have been among the hardest hit. Total figures are as of March 1, 2026, 06:30 p.m. Israel time.

Did You ever serve in the military? If one of those killed were your brother, wife, sister, child, I doubt you'd be so supportive of any war that kills so many, including children.
The same can be said for people who have had a loved one killed or injured in a terrorist attack committed by terrorists backed by Iran.

Trump: Military campaign against Iran could last for four weeks… or less

US President Donald Trump says the US military campaign, undertaken in partnership with Israel, could extend for four weeks.

“It’s always been a four week process… It’s a big country. It’ll take four weeks — or less,” Trump tells the Daily Mail in his latest of a string of media interviews today day.

He says Operation Epic Fury, the US name for the operation, is proceeding as planned, declaring that the US has likely killed 48 of Iran’s top leaders.

Side note humor: For those who don't like the operation's name, (Or like me, who simply can't remember it) I'm calling it "Fists of Fury" based on Colin Jost's SNL skit last night. (For those not in the US, SNL is comedy and Colin Jost had hilariously tattooed the operation's name on his fists) I can't get that image out of my head. So "Fists of Fury" it is. 🤣 I would post a picture, but people might think it's actually an official...

The elementary school that was bombed is in the city of Minab in the province of Hormogan.

The city of Minab is not on the coast, so it's highly unlikely that the school was 600 meters from a Naval Base. The Naval Base is most likely on the coast. The shortest distance from the school to any coast is 15 miles.

"According to Iranian state media, amidst the wave of airstrikes across Iran, the Shajareh Tayyebeh all-girls primary school in Minab, Hormozgan province, was struck by a missile."

In my opinion, anyone who claims that the school was next to a Naval Base - which implies that Iranians are at fault for building a school next to the Naval Base - is already looking for excuses to explain the serious error. Fact checking is important, especially when the US may be trying to distance themselves from blowing up a school filled with young girls.

I did. I served in the pointless war in Afghanistan.

I’d rejoin and be in theater for this in a heartbeat. A once in a lifetime opportunity to help collapse a terror regime, or at the very least, significantly degrade its ability to terrorize people around the world.

Again, the regime Iran is directly and indirectly responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent people.

Look at what they are doing right now. This is exactly who they are.

Who were Reuters polling ? Their juniors in the backroom or a complete cross section of society from a variety of regions ?

It was an online poll. So, presumably made up of people who wanted their opinion included in a poll.

I have seen Australia's 9News network conduct similar online polls. They obtain a general feeling from the public who wish to be heard.

Nobody has to believe the poll result, if they don't want to.

imo

The poll, which began yesterday after the strikes got underway, gathered responses online from 1,282 US adults nationwide. It had a margin of error of three percentage points.

How many nations have to join before we call it a world war?

Someone in the US, or Israel, had advance notice that the conflict would start on February 28 got really rich. People got rich using the same betting tactic just before Maduro was kidnapped. This suggests that those getting rich are not Israelis.

Insider trading has been suspected in the current US government since Trump was elected - In My Opinion.

"Six accounts on Polymarket made around $1 million in profit by betting on the US to strike Iran by Feb. 28, according to analytics firm Bubblemaps SA. The accounts were all freshly created in February and had only ever placed bets on when US strikes might occur. Some of their shares were purchased, in some cases at roughly a dime apiece, hours before the first explosions were reported in Tehran.

These are the hallmarks that blockchain analysts associate with insider trading in prediction markets, an industry without widespread oversight and no agreed-upon methodology for distinguishing luck from leaks — and they’re far from conclusive on their own. Similar patterns suggested that an insider made a big profit betting on the ouster of Venezuela’s Nicolás Maduro in January, and have also been used to identify several other cases of alleged insider trading."

People getting rich betting on war. Very classy.

Polymarket Iran Bets Hit $529 Million as New Wallets Draw Notice

As US and Israeli bombs fell on Iran this weekend, bettors on Polymarket — where $529 million was traded on contracts tied to the timing of the strikes — were cashing in. Almost immediately, blockchain sleuths began hunting for unusual patterns in recent bets.

Six accounts on Polymarket made around $1 million in profit by betting on the US to strike Iran by Feb. 28, according to analytics firm Bubblemaps SA. The Israeli military said on Sunday that airstrikes it has conducted since last June had destroyed about 200 Iranian ballistic missile launchers and rendered dozens more inoperable, roughly half of the launchers Iran currently has.

The strikes in the current assault and a previous one last summer, known as “Rising Lion,” have also targeted Iran’s central explosives manufacturing facility, which supplies materials for missile warheads and other weapons programs, including rockets, drones and cruise missiles.

Before Israel launched its 12-day air attack on Iran last summer, Israeli intelligence had determined Iran was seeking to significantly increase its ballistic missile production and fortify its underground infrastructure.

At the time, Israel estimated Iran’s stockpile stood at roughly 3,000 missiles, but intelligence reports suggested the Iranians planned to produce as many as 8,000 missiles by 2027, “posing a real, direct and existential threat to the State of Israel and the Middle East,” according to one such report.

Despite setbacks caused by the 12-day conflict last year, Iran has been working to rebuild its missile production capabilities, according to Israeli authorities. Recent output has been estimated at dozens of missiles a month and has appeared to be accelerating.

Reports suggest Iran has also been seeking components from abroad to restore its surface-to-surface missile arsenal. Those missiles and their launchers were a prime target of Israeli and U.S. airstrikes on Saturday and Sunday.

The Israeli military was also seeking to destroy factories producing advanced anti-tank systems intended for Hezbollah in Lebanon, as well as specialized research sites, according to a military official who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss military strategy. The strikes are intended to delay weapons development “by several years,” the official said.

BREAKING: The UK has granted the US permission to use British bases for operations to strike Iranian missile depots.

Keir Starmer says:

“Iran is striking British interests and putting British people at huge risk.

The only way to stop the threat is to destroy the missiles at source in their storage depots or the launchers which are used to fire the missiles.

The United Staes has requested permission to use British bases for that specific and limited defensive purpose.

We have taken the decision to accept this request, to prevent Iran firing missile across the region killing innocent civilians and putting British lives at risk.

That is in accordance with international law and we are publishing a summary of our legal advice.

We are not joining these strikes but we will continue our defensive actions in the region.”

Israel says it targeted 'dozens' of IRGC command centers in Tehran

The Israeli military said it targeted "dozens" of command centers in Tehran belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps today.

Explosions were heard earlier from central Tehran near the location of the intelligence ministry.

The targeted locations include intelligence headquarters, command centers and internal security headquarters, the Israel Defense Forces said.

Something must have happened to make Starmer say that.

The missiles have been getting very close to British troops and military assets.

This is from 9 hours ago.

Three hundred British personnel were within 200 metres (650ft) of an Iranian missile and drone strike on the US naval base in Bahrain on Saturday, one of several incidents where UK forces have been drawn into the war in the Middle East.

John Healey, the UK defence secretary, said Iran was “lashing out in an increasingly indiscriminate and widespread way” and that Britain was seeking to protect civilian sites and military assets.
