Hi everyone, has the court made their decision yet?

Also, anyone have a link to Raffaele's latest appeal in which he distances himself from Amanda and says that he can't be sure whether she was there for whole time or not?

TIA.

:seeya: I found a link at the Wiki Page, but it's in Italian :)

I hope that the True Justice for Meredith Kercher/PMF groups will translate this document.

Yeah... how did lying about where you were and what you were doing work out for Jody Arias?

Lying to cops never works out too good IMO. They would have THOUGHT they had their killer (Patrick) AND he was in jail... because that is who AK accused of raping and killing Meredith.

*Maybe she should pay him what the Court ruled she owes him for that very accusation. Or maybe a sorry or two.

It is such a stretch to call what happened an accusation. She was was being interrogated for 50 hours, in a foreign country, in a foreign language. They kept tellingly her what happened (that she and Lumumba killed MK) until she finally agreed and signed an affidavit . They forced her to do that! Coerced confessions happen all the time in North America. Imagine how often they happen when you have a very powerful prosecutor telling LE who he wants arrested.
It is a tragic case of injustice with many victims, all because a corrupt prosecutor wanted this story to be international news so he could heighten his celebrity status, write a few more books, and whatever else satisfied his narcissistic personality. IMO

Jodi Arias killed Travis. No question. I don't see any evidence that comes close to what they have on Arias.
Why does it have to be accused.. Why can't it be that they asked her and she listed people that could have been involved and so they looked at Patrick. She was a foreigner not speaking the language well, Who knows what was going on in that early investigation.
None of this equates to her being guilty of murder.
She was found not guilty on the same evidence. It is criminal then to reverse again. IMPO.

It is because she had a text on her phone to PL saying "see you later". They took that to mean.. "See you later when we meet up at my apartment and rape and slaughter my roommate". And they drilled that theory into her until she folded and signed the affidavit.

ETA - and I would like to add that they would have went along with that story had Lumumba not had an iron clad alibi. So, if Lumumba was sitting home alone that night, he would still be sitting in an Italian prison and Rudy G would be an absolute nobody as far as we are concerned.

50 Hours??? Goodness me. Weird how the evidence shows it was about an hour and a half.

She wrote more than once... and never took back the accusation of Patrick. She never did the 2+ weeks he was in jail either.

That corrupt prosecutor must have been working mind-magic on the entire judiciary. He swayed courts he wasn't even a part of. That is weird too.

Listen, peoples lives are on the line here, they need all the support they can get. If you want to see them as monsters, fine. But at least get up to date with the facts of this case.

Who cares who she thought may have done it?? It matters not. What matters is that she was convicted and it was overturned on the same evidence.

AK was guilty in the court of public opinion long before she was even charged. She was portrayed as a sadistic sex fiend killer. "Foxy Knoxy" was the headline of all MSM at the time. They lied and told her she had HIV so that she would list all of her sexual partners, so that they could print it and show how much of a sex fiend she was. It is absolutely corrupt and disgusting what they did

BBM: And a totally and completely INNOCENT man would still be wrongfully sitting in prison because of AK.

I was very happy to read that Mr. Lumumba showed up at yesterday's hearing:

From the Daily Mail:

Diya 'Patrick' Lumumba (centre) - a Congolese citizen who was originally jailed for the murder of Meredith Kercher - arrives at Italy's highest court building this morning

I will not be drawn into a fight with y'all. We can disagree.

It is more important for me to give out correct facts for posters that are not so familiar with the case.

There is no double-jeapardy
There is no re-trial
There was no acquittal
There was no 50 hour interrogation
There was no beating

Sorry if those facts don't gel with what some want them to be.

No he wouldn't not if they were looking at the evidence. Just because someone names you does not mean you are guilty. There has to be evidence. Everyone in a crime is asked if they know someone who could have done this or people the victim knew. That is standard. Just because someone is named does not mean they are guilty.

Sorry but there is. There is double jeopardy when you are found guilty and acquitted on the same facts and then found guilty again on the same facts. That is double jeopardy whether they call it that or not.

From the Daily Mail 3-25-15:

Knox's lawyer Carlo della Vedova described her client as 'very worried' about adding: 'She hasn't been sleeping much.'

Della Vedova also scotched rumours that the American had been trying to get pregnant to avoid possible extradition.

'That is absolutely false. She is not engaged either,' he said.

So according to AK's attorney, she is NOT engaged, but there was a story recently that said she was ...

The misinformation in this case is unbelievable !

Those just aren't the facts.
The double jeopardy issue will be dealt with by professionals. It has not been decided yet.

Yes there was an acquittal. That is why they both were set free. Look at any article on the case on or after October 3, 2011

Yes there was 5 days of interrogation. Are you suggesting the interrogated her for 15 minutes a day?

She says she was was hit in the back of the head? Neither of us were there. It can't be proven or disproven and really has no bearing on the case other than to show they forced her into a confession.

Did you read confession by the way? Wasn't much of a confession as she is basically stating throughout that she doesn't remember it that way.

Why didn't that corrupt ole prosecutor just make up evidence on Patrick.

Then he could have tried him twice (even tho he wasn't apart of some of the trials) and double-jeapardied him up (or even triple-jeapardied) if the first time didn't work.

Or they could have asked him tuff questions like what were you doing that night and where were you. I wonder if he would have lied too.

However, it has now been revealed Knox's lawyers have turned to the European Court of Human Rights in a last ditch attempt to stop the final ratification of her conviction for murder.
They have asked for the case to be suspended, pending the acceptance of her appeal to the European Court against a conviction for slander.

From the Daily Mail 3-25-15:

Meanwhile, a consultant for Sollecito said that he had already said his goodbyes to his family and air hostess girlfriend Greta Menegaldo, who accompanied him to the packed courtroom this morning, where neither was able to find a seat.

The assistant said: 'It is as if he is not there anymore. He said goodbye to his family and Greta outside the court. He fears the worst.'

Wow ... so Raf "fears the worst" and has said his "goodbyes" ...

Oh, how I hope he lets loose on Amanda when they take him back into custody !

Have you read Hellmann's motivation report? That's another benefit their system has that ours doesn't, a detailed report written on how they reached thier decision.

Hand waving away evidence the way he did doesn't fly. His ruling is no longer relevant because it was found to be illogical. That is the only FACT that matters about The Hellmann ruling.

The point is that the first interview that lead to her naming Patrick started around 11:30pm and by about 1am she had named him.
So much for a grueling, abusive 50 hour interagation that lead to a false accusation.
She did not make a false confession, she made a false accusation against an innocent person to take the heat off herself all the while placing herself at the scene.
This was after less than 2 hours of questioning. The questioning was suspended at that time and later in the morning she wrote a second handwritten letter confirming her accusation.
She was not denied food and sleep. She had arrived at the station after eating pizza with Rafffele and was offered a drink and snacks during this time.
The miss information out about the "50 hour interagation" is crazy!
IMO but all these facts can be found on the sites linked many times.

Foxy Knoxy was her own name for herself on her MySpace page. They didn't invent that, The media would do this to ANYONE in her same situation. The will use anything they can against you.

My two cents about Mr. RS and his options:

Scenario 1: He and AK are both involved in the murder.
He should do the right thing and confess before the final verdict comes out and spend the time in jail in order to get some degree of redemption.

Scenario 2: Only he is guilty and AK is totally innocent.
He should do the same as above, just declare that AK is innocent. MKs family gets some closure and AK gets her reputation back at least.

Scenario 3: He is innocent and knows for a fact that AK is involved in the murder.
Too late to rat AK out. He had his shot. He chose AK over justice. Now suffer for that.

Scenario 4: He knows for a fact that both he and AK are innocent.
Pray to high heaven that the final verdict is in his favor.

Yeah not much of a options stack for this young man. I wouldn't wanna be him.
