Why has this guy still not started serving his prison sentence yet? His appeals have all been rejected, but best as I can tell he is still free. When will he start serving his time? :thinking:

Schettino has been released while he appeals his manslaughter conviction

The former captain alleges there were failures in the original investigation

He claims that he has been unfairly scapegoated because of the disaster

The captain is ultimately responsible for what happens to the ship.
