June 16th- It's after midnight here on the East Coast...time to say goodnight to you precious baby. I find it hard to believe that you've been gone for a year. Caylee, I so wish I could have held you and kept you safe. I pray wherever you are...you're happy and feel my love's embrace. Sweet dreams, angel. I promise we'll see this through to the end...we are all here for you...and will not rest until justice is served.

I can't believe it's been one year baby girl. You are loved by so many and today they plan to celebrate your life, not your death. I hope you see all the balloons and butterflies today from heaven. I picture you in my mind with all your angel friends smiling and giggling and I smile despite my sadness. You are forever in our hearts.

It's been one year since your laughter and smiles were heard in this world. I remember quite vividly this day last year because it is my birthday and yet the same day we lost such a bright, spirited, and beautiful girl. The tears are falling freely this morning, as they often do, when thinking that you are no longer here with us. I am sorry that you were taken from this earth so quickly and wish that something could have stopped these horrific events. I am so happy you are with God and the events of one year ago no longer cause you pain.

You are so loved and we are praying for justice.

Caylee, I decided to honor your memory today by spending the day with my granddaughter, Chloe. She is 5 and looks soooo much like you! Big brown eyes, brown hair, loves beads and sunglasses. You have always reminded me of her. In your honor, we are going to play dress-up (she has a Belle dress just like yours!) and go the the zoo. Then we are going to go swimming! I miss you sweetheart and want you to know that everyday you remind me to never take my Chloe for granted - to play, dance, sing, read, and give lots of hugs & kisses. I wish you two could have known each other. I'm sure you both would have had some fun times.
