You do know that like Katie Holmes says she is - you can be Catholic AND Scientologist at the same time!

That article is a year old (Jan 2007) and was written before she got pregnant. Google JLo and Scientology - word on the "street" is that she has embraced Scientology with her pregnancy. She and Leah Remini didn't even KNOW each other a year ago and now Leah is at the BIRTH??? It's total Scientology - just like Katie Holmes - there is no other reason Leah Remini would be "attending" JLo at the birth if JLo hadn't wanted a "Scientology Birth". Leah Remini has been attached at the hip to JLo for at least 6 months and JLo and Marc are socializing almost exclusively with the Scientology crowd now.

It's not a secret and JLo doesn't deny Scientology any more - she just doesn't comment on it.

My Opinion
I don't think that Katie is anything except what her dear hubby wants her to be...which is the cult. Such a shame. :( I was just reading what I had seen on the web and no where did I see that she had converted, and all denial that she was into the cult. I have no idea what the "word on the street" is as I live in Texas and do not have contact with anybody. I hope, for the sake of her children, she is just Catholic. I think she is so beautiful and talented. I am a fan. :D

Congratulations to J-GLOW and her baby daddy! (Her stretch marks will shine in the moonlight!) Hey...She should wear em like a badge of courage!!! Maybe she will make them "fashionable"!! (Of course, unless she used her cocoa butter ten times a day, like I would have recommended!!! *Only had a couple behind my knees! Who knew?!)

Once you are a Catholic you are forever a Catholic. You can become a Hindu, but first and forever you are a Catholic. Hey, rules of the Church. Like the Mafia it is. If that JLo is a Scientologist with her hubby I gotta say it sure seems to me they all get pregnant. Didn't this chick have trouble conceiving? Sign up with Scientology and POOF! See what happened to Nicole Kidman when she brought her kids to Mass? Before ya knew it she got the heave ho. JUst what are those people up to? Scientologists I mean. I don't wanna know what the Catholics are up to and I am one. I jest.

It's what they say but it's far from the truth!
I guess all the classes she and Marc have been taking at the Scientologist Celebrity Center for the last year are just for "fun" then? And I suppose the Scientologist "cleansing fertility" ritual that JLo is crediting for getting her preggers in a flash - after the Catholic Church, 6 years and 3 different men couldn't - won't have any influence on JLo and Marc's future choices? And super Scientologist Leah Remini is just hanging out with JLo in the hospital because JLo's Mom was busy and ya know Leah, she just loves a good rip roaring "birth" party?

JLo and Marc are at the least wading in the Scientology waters because they are openly taking classes, practicing some Scientology "rituals" and hanging out with the other Scientology Celebs - to the exclusion of everybody else. I am thinking If JLo credits Scientology for her healthy twins AND thinks it might bolster her and Marc's flagging careers she/they will jump in all the way - Catholicism be damned.

Katie Holmes was a devout Catholic girl close to her family and openly stating she was saving herself for marriage UNTIL she met Tom Cruise (and Scientology). And once you are "in" (even a little) - it's quite difficult to get out - ask another Catholic girl, Nicole Kidman. She basically had to give up her KIDS to Scientology to get free.

The "push" to get JLo and Marc into Scientology is a full "celebrity" court press by every famous Scientologist - don't be surprised when JLo and Marc go home with the babies to a house full of Scientologists including with Tom and Katie, Will and Jada and then start flying around with John Travolta and family. Even if there is no "Formal Announcement" - me-thinks JLo and Marc are already well on their way to "Theta Clear" and the LRon Hall of Fame.

Hey FC. I might be misunderstanding your reply to OLG and speaking out of turn, but I think that she was saying that there is no way that anyone can be Catholic as well as Scientologists. If JLo is attending classes, she is no longer a Catholic, no more than KH is still a Catholic. :o

The whole cocoa butter thing to prevent stretchmarks is such an old wives tale. The skin doesn't stretch from the outside in.....it stretches from the inside out.....applying cocoa butter can't help when it stretches from the inside (where the baby is) to the outside.

I actually just learned this not too long - I made a comment to an RN about how she should use cocoa butter when she commented to me that she didn't want stretch marks. If you think about, it makes perfect sense.

Wow! So you are telling me I had great skin?! Even better!! Wooohoo! I love my genes. :woohoo: (And my OB should have been fired as much money as I spent at HIS advice!)

I am just repeating what Scientology itself SAYS - that you can be both a Scientologist AND a Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, Christian etc. According the THEM you do NOT have to "convert" or give up your "faith" - you can be BOTH - especially since Scientology rather leaves the whole "God/Bible" part OUT of their thing.

I am sure the Catholic Church might have something to say if challenged publicly but frankly (hubby is a "recovering" Catholic) so long as you continue to follow the teachings of the Catholic Church and attend Mass, Confession etc there is NO REASON the church would kick you out for taking Scientology classes and getting involved in the whole "Auditing" thing. Scientology isn't really a religion so much as it's a way of life and none of their teachings overtly contradict Biblical teachings or any beliefs of mainstream Christian religions. Scientology has some weird beliefs, (aliens and no pain killers or psychiatric meds), but none of them say you can't keep going to Mass on Sunday. OF COURSE they would prefer you be a PUBLIC Pure Scientolgist (al-la Tom Cruise) but if you're famous, they will take what they can get. Nicole Kidman NEVER renounced her Catholic faith and went to classes, auditing and was heavily involved in Scientology - and when she left Tom, she dropped Scientology and continued to be a Catholic - as she was all along WHILE she was doing Scientology. Tom didn't LIKE it, but Nicole continued to do both during their marriage. JLo and Marc certainly have the same options.

Okay. Now, I understand what you were saying and why OLG said what she did. She has a brother that is a Scientologist. Her experiences have been pretty profound, to say the least!

The creeps in Scientology didn't heavily recruit Nicole anyway since her father is a psychiatrist, an enemy to the cult. They never really wanted her so long as she had a close relationship with her father. I applaud Nicole for not caving in to that creepy cult.

I wish them the best, twins are rough, but not for folks like JLo. Am I the only person who really dislikes her? I can not stand her.
Someone asked about the length of time between the kids, I had my twins vaginally and they were 12 minutes apart. From what my OB said if at all possible that is the best way to deliver (if possible) since the fluids from the lungs is expelled more during a vaginal delivery and since their lungs are already underdeveloped due to the fact that most multiples are early you want that extra help getting the junk out of them.

2sisters, I won't say I dislike her but I definitely think she's a spoiled, demanding diva. But, I also think she works incredibly hard and I admire her business savvy. She may never win an Oscar and she may not have a killer voice, but she does have talent, is very driven and also very smart. JMO

No your not the only one..she irritates me too. I think it's her laugh that is like fingernails down a chalkboard to me. I don't think twins will be a problem at all for her considering she has maids,chefs,nannies..All the 'grunt' work is taken care of. I did think she was very cute in the movie The Wedding Planner though.

I loved her in "Selena" and I think she is talented, but I really, really don't like her as a person.

Has anyone heard the baby names yet???
