Jailhouse snitch claims avery confessed

  • #21
It seems like every time the PD or DA's offices come close to coming under attack, evidence to controvert the attack suddenly appears out of nowhere. Same tactic, different day. I guess they thought no one would ever notice there's a pattern.

Yeah they are pretty transparent and obvious to anyone that has been following along in the case IMO. The old "don't look here, look there" pattern.

Doesn't sound like something the State would do. JMO

I can't see it helping BD in any way. His conviction has already been overturned. They can't use any of his confession because it's inadmissable because it violated Brendan's constitutional rights.

As with everything else the PD and DA's offices have done with this case, once again things just aren't quite right and there's a pretty apparent tone to the confession that is just completely off. I want someone to explain to me why once again some random inmate has gotten a "voluntary confession".

I don't want the obvious answer - I think we all know that answer. I want the explanation that answers why complete strangers are the only people that manage to get him to confess something that he hasn't confessed to ANYONE else - yet people that are mere acquaintances manage to get SA to admit what he's supposedly done.

For what seems like the millionth time with this case I call bs. There are things that I have had happened in my life (and not something I'm terribly ashamed of - things that I've been a victim of) that I wouldn't talk about with my best friend, my mom, my brother, or anyone else I've known for most or all of my life so I sure wouldn't open up to a complete stranger.

No matter how many times I read the letter, the statement, or the article I just don't believe it and I'm beginning to instead believe that this "confession" isn't even coming from Evans. It's starting to sound like he was fed the story and wrote a statement and a letter based on what he was told to say.

After reading all the articles it seems like a few days after Duffin's decision in August, JE speaks with the authorities and puts his claims to paper because he wants to help BD. Now, with BD's case being argued in court in just a few short weeks, it is being revealed publically.

I am struggling to comprehend just where the State and former Prosecutor fit in to all of this or why they're being blamed. JMO

Has it been sourced to the State or the Prosecutor? Didn't the guy in question send his confession to MSM? Maybe its just some article the msm wrote up? Sensationalism perhaps.

I also don't see how this could honor the Halbach family at all? It's just horrible. What a guy! Is he at all friendly with Kratz?

I don't see how he could be....Kratz is from Calumet County and Evans is from Marinette County.

Did anyone notice the signatures in the written part and the typed part are different?

I agree Karinna, I don't see how the letter honors the Halbach family or TH herself. Its actually sickening. I don't think I would want to know those details so many years later, even if it were true. Which I don't believe it is because there are contradictions in it. May TH rest in peace. :rose:

So now I wonder if KZ was referring to Evans false confession or BD's in this tweet?

Sorry you're struggling, Limaes❤
When Zellner reveals what she knows, perhaps it will make sense to you then?
We all think and feel differently about these things, I've struggled with a lot that pertains to this case as well.

The state already knows BD is going to be released. It is inevitable. His confession has been ruled inadmissible and his conviction overturned. They are fighting like bastards to save some face and keep SA locked up and the truth hidden.

But you are also struggling to comprehend the planted evidence and corruption by authorities from the get-go of this case. Maybe your cognitive strengths are in another arena. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. I was always very bad at calculus and essay writing. Nothing to be ashamed of to recognise your weaknesses. JMO

BBM, It was my attempt at sarcasm BCA, :) Perhaps i should of said taken a leaf out of Kratz's script/book.
And yes TMI in what he says and it really is beyond the pale:(
Poor TH, it would be good if those that are murdered could come back somehow one more time to tell what happened to them so there is no doubt about who committed such a crime against them. It's all so unfair.

Thanks BCA!

I did notice the signatures are different (you mention this in another post). One is Joseph W. Evans Jr, and the other is Joe Wayne Evans Jr. Did you all notice the date he said he wrote it? August 25th. BD's habeas decision was on August 12th, and Zellner filed her motion on August 26th. It should be noted that on the 14th of this month, less than 2 weeks, the 7th Circuit will be hearing oral arguments in BD's case. And Kratz has a book coming out sometime this month too.

I will say JMO because I can't link it, but SG (SA's ex-fiance) said that this was sent out to the media in August by JE's girlfriend. Not sure why no one printed it but I can guess, and my guess would be because they are smarter than JE? LOL I find the timing curious that Jim Hagerty is just getting a copy now and has decided to print it.

IMO the letter reads like something someone who believes SA is guilty and is trying to explain away the lack of evidence (they cleaned with bleach, etc.). I feel like it is something I could have read in the "do not think SA was framed thread" and the only thing missing was the tarp they laid her on. I am curious to see if anything KK has in his book is similar to his guys "story", I don't plan on reading it unless I can find a free copy though LOL

I would like to know who his girlfriend is too.... I wonder how closely she has been following this case and the questions that surround it, the lack of DNA, the lack of blood, the contaminated bullet.

Anyway, JMO! For now, I will be throwing this in my BS pile.... ya know, the one that is about to fall over because it's keeps growing!

The AAG Wambach who prosecuted Evans (and i would imagine has some pull in granting him leniency or favours while in prison) is apparently an ole buddy of Kratz, so that is one possible connection...
