Jason Lade, a 32 year old business owner in Longview, TX was shot and killed at his car lot on the evening of 9/18/08. No arrests were ever made.

Very little information about the case has been made public, and the detectives are not longer actively working the case.

We are desperate for answers. There is a suspect, but not enough evidence to make an arrest. All leads either come up with nothing or with a deceased person at the end. Requests for help from the Texas Rangers have been denied.

Update: Longview police say body found in Longview business is apparent homicide

What do I need to change to make this post get replies?

Kelsey Lade said that, on that September 2008 night, she talked to her husband about 8:30 that evening by phone, and he said he was working late, something she called "a rare occasion." By 10 p.m., she had placed Kinsey to bed, but her husband had not arrived nor was he answering his cellphone.

She contacted his business partner, who said he would go to the car lot. When she did not get the business partner or her husband on the phone after that, "I ended up getting (Kinsey) out of bed, putting her in the car and going there myself. So I got up there, it was about 11:45, and they had everything roped off and police cars and ambulance and a fire truck was there and the lights on, and I just knew something was bad."

Who would gun down a reportedly very kind and generous young father? It's very strange that there doesn't seem to be any information beyond a few articles that say that he was shot at his place of work. Can anybody else find any more recent information or updates on the investigation?

There is a facebook page that doesn't have a lot of recent activity but does have some photos of Jason and his infant daughter.

I’m new to this website. The one thing that is problematic to me is this: why didn’t the business partner ever contact the wife after their phone call?
