maybe this isn't the thread for this, but there's a case of a black teenager who had sex with an underage girl with her consent and got 10 years in prison.
beucase this girl is britney spears sister, she gets to tell the world in magazines that her over 18 boyfriend is the father and nothing happens.nothing.

im more than a little bent about the rampant favoritism or elitism or whatever you want to call it going on with this situation.

Just a guess, but maybe Jamie's boyfriend wasn't 18 when she became pregnant. I'm not familiar with the case you mentioned, but I would think someone had to press charges, like maybe the girl's parents?

I assume this is the case being referenced. The parents did not press charges; the DA did after the young man (star athlete and honor student) was acquitted on a rape case. The girl who was the "victim" actually testified for the defense IIRC.

I hope that Jamie and baby Maddie are healthy and happy, but I agree that it is pretty sad when we flaunt our different sets of rules for Hollywood and the rest of America. If she were a "normal" girl there would at least have been the pretense of being concerned for her instead of just selling baby pics to the highest bidder. I hope they turn out better than Brit and that mother of theirs.

looked into the older articles a little, apparently becuase she lives in CA and he lives in LA, the laws differ and probably there would have been no criminal case in CA.

Granted, there was no criminal activity going on, but adding another log the spears family firepit can't be a good thing. yet another tabloid terror in the making.

(not to offend anyone, im a parent, but that family is SERIOUSLY dysfunctional)

According to another story I read, it is because she was breastfeeding. She didn't think she could get pregnant.

There is no fool proof method.
