Details of Disappearance
Janelle and her mother, Maira Mora-Hernandez, left Jerome, Idaho on November 1, 2002 to travel to Long Beach, California. They were due to arrive there on November 3 but did not. On November 10, Maira had contact with her family by telephone. She sounded distressed at the time.
Janelle and Maira have never been heard from again. They may be traveling with a person named Jose, possibly in a blue four-door 1988 Ford Taurus with Idaho license plates numbered 2J 13264. Maira and Janelle are considered endangered. Their cases are unsolved.
