I don't want to keep calling him, but I'm sure he will call me. If it looks bad of course I will call. I wish I had told him to take his cell phone charger. :loser:

Yes, the camera is at Cannon Beach because you can see Haystack Rock in the background.

Um reporter is talking about water receeding alot. IIRC, that is a big even before the surge. Is that a family walking out there?????

Ok I just heard they are expecting a 7.1 ft event in his area. When he was in elementary school they used to have "tidal wave" drills which shocked me the first time it happened. I grew up with air raid and earthquake drills but never "tidal wave" ones.

CNN had showed a video of a Port where the water was taking out houses and boats, then showed people driving over a bridge. Reporter said a few cars and few boats plunging into the sea, and stated its happening now??OMG this is terrible.

I remember the indonesia tsanami the water receeded an unusual amount so all the tourists mostly kids were checking out the tidepools when the surge hits.

Ah, the reporter at KGW says we can expect the surge now in about ten minutes. Receeding water is a warning sign.

Man, I would not be on any of the Oregon beaches. A surge could toss alot of huge logs like toothpicks onto the beach.

I am praying for the safety of all those in the path of tsunami's. I pray for all those who have lost their lives to this quake and tsunami, and for all those who have survived.

I am very concerned that we, in Los Angeles, will be next. There have been significant eq's all over the ring of fire, but we have not had one here...and that bothers me.

God speed to all those who've passed, and God's safety to all those still fleeing the path of distruction.

Best-
Herding Cats

Wow, showing a pic of Coos Bay. It pretty much drained out.

Have coastal areas been released or are they trying to hunker down and wait it out? Or were they smart and cancelled school today?

And hey, people with the the kid, get the h3ll out of there. NOW.

That's so true, many of the logging companies are right there at the major ports waiting for barges to transport them. The logs (100s of them) just float in a somewhat contained area.
