Has President Obama addressed this yet to the American people? Do we know officially what we, as a country, are up against? We have family in Oregon and California. Are they at risk? I think it's time for some official word on what's really going on and what the possible consequences are for the American people. Can the radiation reach our shores? Is it time to stock food? If indeed the radiation may reach as far as Chicago, as someone posted earlier, we're talking the U. S. bread basket. If there are virtually no possibilities of this happening, it's time to alleviate that fear. If the possibilities are real, it's time to learn what we need to know to prepare and stay safe.

I agree... Seems that the thing to do would be to leave now b/c radiation is NOT going to be stopped by a regular building. And it will take quite awhile for the radiation levels to diminish, so I'd get away now and be exposed for a smaller amount of time. MOO.

I watched the news in Oregon just about an hour ago and they say they don't believe radiation will reach the west coast. But you can bet I'm not going to stop praying!
